Why the List Matters Not

Before you begin, know that I recognize my absolutely sinister part in all of this. The work and efforts I speak of in the following lines have nothing to do with hubris. It is perhaps just the latest rallying cry from a person who, with his own apathy in political matters for much of his life, helped create this purgatory we are living.

That said with self-disgust and sincerity…

July 11 marks the second annual feast of St Benedict, the great father of Western monasticism and a timeless witness to the kind of spiritual clarity and cultural resilience that today’s distracted, disillusioned world can hardly comprehend, much less imitate.

Back in March, I wrote that St Benedict’s real gift to us wasn’t merely a rulebook for monks, but a roadmap for how to build spiritual and cultural order after collapse. Today, the collapse is even more visible. And once again, Benedict’s voice cuts through the smoke with the stillness of eternity.

Because today, on this second feast, many Americans are raging about “the list.” You know the one–the Epstein list. The one with names, places, logs, events. The one supposedly holding the receipts that will finally expose the rot at the heart of our ruling class.

The one that I’ve explored at length–both directly and with subtlety for those with the eyes to see it–for three years in this digital space.

But what if I told you we already got the list? What if I told you it’s been sitting in plain view, gathering digital dust in declassified documents, Mockingbird media interviews, political betrayals, music videos, Hollywood films, TV commercials, and yes, even the JFK files?

And what if I told you most Americans don’t actually want it?

Because once the names go public–if they ever do–it won’t just be easy-to-hate elites and money monsters we don’t even know in the first place. It’ll be TV hosts. Actors. Musicians. Influencers. Mega-preachers. Politicians with dual citizenship. Maybe even some we once thought were “on our side.”

This is why the list, if it ever comes, and something I gleaned from the (non) reaction to the release of the JFK files, won’t really awaken everyone. Because what matters more than having the list is being willing to believe it–and even more, being willing to believe who is behind it.

And then having the courage to change everything.

But I’m more doubtful than I was just a few months ago before the JFK files were released. I believe I was right–that the JFK files should have been the great alarm clock, but it simply wasn’t.

See my eternal optimism on display back in the summer of 2022, concerning the Ghislaine Maxwell trial:

I believe that was the place to be mentally back then. Is it still? A lot has happened in three years that should have been enough to change everything.

But it didn’t.

Understand that I’m not speaking to everyone, certainly. Obviously there are millions waking up since 2020. There is objective proof of that. But are we close to Malcolm Gladwell’s tipping point–where true, lasting change occurs? I don’t think so. And I think that, if Donald Trump is indeed an agent of good, it is why his powers of exposure are limited.

How long have we discussed the fact that the court of public opinion is necessary? How long have we talked about Trump needing the mandate?

Well Americans, if they subscribe to my perspective, are finding that “mandate” is not a one size fits all call to action. It is layered. It is complex. It involves Americans giving him a mandate for this one thing, but not for this other thing.

And that’s where support for this great war of good against evil gets wounded.

America has already shown its hand. When the JFK files confirmed in black and white what the “conspiracy theorists” had been saying for decades–what so many have been saying both directly and (by necessity) with subtlety–there was no national reckoning. There was no grassroots storming of the institutions, no reformation of the corrupted press or public schools, no rejection of the eternal primary movement against Christ and Christianity. There was just…shrugging. A few trending tweets. A couple YouTube breakdowns. And then back to Netflix and concerts.

Here is a glimpse of how much work some of us invested in the aftermath of that JFK files release. If you scroll down this one, you’ll see a screenshot of all the other articles I was writing at that time–you can still see the article titles:

I was preparing the soil for all of that with a ton of work connecting the Trump shooting with JFK last summer. Here are just “a few”:

Do I post all of that expecting you to go to them? Of course not. It’s just proof showing a lot of us have been involved in the conversation for a long time, and we’ve been inviting people to it. It’s all been there, and there are many, many out there much bigger than I that have been doing it too.

This has, and always has been, about US. It’s been whether WE are willing to take the gift God is granting us with this mass exposure campaign….

Or not.

We didn’t want to believe it then, with the JFK files release. Check–we didn’t even want to investigate it then. So why would we believe or make life changes with the Epstein revelations now?

Worse: Even if we do believe, are we prepared–morally, spiritually, psychologically–to let go of the celebrity and political culture that made us need narrative markers like Epstein and Diddy and Podesta in the first place? Are we ready to be self-scandalized by our own entertainment habits, by the people we defend because they once told the truth on a podcast or play really nice characters in movies, by the institutions we keep funding with our clicks?

Are we ready to admit that some of the very “rebels” in our movement might’ve been playing for the other team all along?

Some are ready, yes, and I applaud you. Still, enough are not.

St Benedict’s Rule and Answer

This is where St Benedict’s voice becomes not just relevant–but vital.

Because Benedict understood what America still resists: No society can survive without hierarchy–but hierarchy must be built on virtue. And when virtue fails, the only real revolution is retreat. Not cowardice—but spiritual regrouping. Not flight—but formation. The kind that prepares men to rebuild something true, long after the current world burns itself down.

Benedict fled a collapsing “world” to save something eternal. He wasn’t trying to win over the empire. He was trying to preserve truth.

He knew–the first step to clarity isn’t more information, even if it’s right information tucked firmly inside a false reality. The first step to clarity is purification of the soul.

And that’s America’s real problem–not that we don’t have the list, but that we wouldn’t know what to do with it if it dropped in our laps tomorrow. Because we still haven’t rejected the values, the idols, and the cultural architecture that made the list possible in the first place.

The Epstein story is not just about abuse. It’s about allegiance. It’s about how many people were willing to play the game–to get the invite, to climb the ladder, to protect the club.

How many of us realize that the notion of “Epstein” is the same as the notion of “Diddy”? They’re all the same–markers for narrative warfare too many of us still haven’t learned how to fight.

And if we’re still in love with the club, the list won’t save us. It’ll only indict us.

Just as the passing of the Diddy story did.

Which brings us back to the JFK files. Because what they reveal is the same thing the Epstein logs are pointing to–not just corruption, but a networked corruption. Not just lone wolves, but coordinated powers. Not just bad actors–but a system built to insulate and reward them.

And the one thing that system cannot abide–the one thing it will always try to memory-hole, suppress, or smear–is a man who walks away from it all to build something better.

That’s what Benedict did, and that’s what we need to do now.

Will that happen en masse without some frightening precipice moment scaring us straight?

I doubt it now.

Or, are a few of us ready to become a remnant of sorts that outlasts it all?

Because the real list—the one God is writing—isn’t on a flash drive in some CIA/Mossad/MI6 vault.

It’s in the Book of Life.

And the question isn’t who’s on Epstein’s.

It’s who’s on His.

May everyone named directly or referenced indirectly ask forgiveness and do penance for their sins against America and God. I fight this information war in the spirit of justice and love for the innocent, but I have been reminded of the need for mercy and prayers for our enemies. I am a sinner in need of redemption as well after all, for my sins are many. In the words of Jesus Christ himself, Lord forgive us all, for we know not what we do.
