The Inmates Are Running The Asylum At Vanity Fair
I’ll be honest, I have never paid much attention to Vanity Fair magazine. Then again, the people who read Vanity Fair probably never paid much attention to National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, or Golf Digest. That said, if any of those magazines had an outrageous revolt that made national news, the Vanity Fair readers would definitely take notice.
That’s exactly what’s happening now with Vanity Fair. The magazine is drawing unwanted attention to itself by allowing the inmates to run what is obviously a radical leftist asylum.
The magazine and its elitist attitude has already demonstrated that it has no actual values. Vanity Fair used to be about class and elegance, something that oozes from Melania Trump. However, during President Trump’s first term, the stunning first lady was left off the cover of Vanity Fair and Condé Nast’s Vogue, despite the magazines having a history of spotlighting incoming first ladies.
Hillary Clinton, the undisputed wicked witch of the left, appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair multiple times. One notable cover was for the magazine’s October 1993 issue. She was also featured on a cover in January 1998.
“Big Mike” Obama, while never appearing on Vanity Fair’s cover, did appear on the cover of Voguethree separate times during Obama’s two terms in office, and elder abuser Jill Biden landed two Voguecovers while sleepy Joe was babbling and staggering through his term.
The fact that both magazines snubbed Melania during President Trump’s first term is inexcusable. Still, Vanity Fair’s disgusting reaction to having her on during his second term proves a crucial point about liberal Democrats – they NEVER learn from their mistakes.
A report by the Daily Mail reveals that several staff members, speaking on the condition of anonymity, expressed that if the magazine’s global editorial director, Mark Guiducci, were to proceed with his proposal to feature the GOP first lady on the cover, it could lead to a significant backlash among the magazine’s employees.
Some people even suggested that the company could experience a major upheaval. One editor stated:
“I will walk out the mother f__king door, and half my staff will follow me.”
A staff member from Vanity Fair informed the Daily Mail that their objection was entirely based on political reasons.
“We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife; we’re just not going to do it. We’re going to stand for what’s right.”
The staff members emphasized that they would risk their careers for the decision, predicting that many in the writer’s room would do the same.
“If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s, I’ll do it. If Guiducci puts Melania on the cover, half of the editorial staff will walk out, I guarantee it.”
Really? Then brush up on your bagging skills.
If anyone at this magazine had any guts, they would tell this editor and anyone else who decided to leave not to let the door hit them in the ass.
One employee told the Daily Mail that most of the noise is nothing more than idle threats.
“It’s all talk. If they put her on the cover, people will protest and gripe about it, but I don’t see anyone quitting such a prestigious job over that. Honestly, there will be people who push back, but it’s ultimately Mark’s decision. He’s the one who will sink or swim over that choice, not the rest of us.”
Sink or swim? Grow up.
Vanity Fair will look back on the childish behavior of its undisciplined editorial staff and the public exposure of its employees’ arrogance as the beginning of the end.
The idea that such stuck-up snowflakes would try to dictate company policy is pure leftist behavior, and if those in charge give it any credence at all, it says volumes about their integrity and intelligence level.
Frankly, I hope Melania declines any offers she receives from Vanity Fair or Vogue to be on the cover, if they are forthcoming. She has too much class to allow her style to be slandered by the ignorance of these two liberal rags.
Maybe they can feature Whoopi Goldberg and Joyce Behar on the cover, after all, a Halloween issue is coming up.
