If Styles Make Fights, Hakeem Jeffries Should Avoid Everyone

The phrase “the cream rises to the top” is a proverb that means the most talented or exceptional individuals will ultimately be recognized and achieve success. This saying compares the process to how fat-rich cream separates from milk and rises to the surface. It emphasizes the idea that true quality and superiority are naturally evident and will not go unnoticed over time, even in the face of challenges or difficulties.

The phrase originates from the natural process of milk separation, where cream, being lighter and richer in fat, naturally floats to the top of unpasteurized milk. The term “cream” itself has been used to refer to the “best” since at least the 16th century.

However, in a cesspool, which the Democratic Party has become, slime and scum also rise to the top. There are plenty of layers of filth to go around. Names like Pelosi, Schumer, AOC, Omar, Tlaib, Swalwell, Schiff, Waters, Lieu, Hirono, and Sanders, to name a few, have combined to form a multi-layer of thick, repulsive sludge on the top of American democracy.

The “Schumer Shutdown” has brought another layer of mucous to the forefront, and its name is Hakeem Jeffries. Because of his position, the Minority Leader of the House has always had a presence, but Jeffries has decided to use this shutdown to put himself endlessly in front of the cameras. Fortunately for America, his need for exposure has only demonstrated his incompetence. In fact, there is a truism often associated with sports that says, “Styles Make Fights,” and in Jeffries’ case, that means he should avoid everyone.

Time after time, over the last week, he was outclassed and humiliated by trying to refute the truth with standard Democrat rhetoric. Catch phrases don’t solve problems, something someone should whisper in Jeffries’ ear.

One person He definitely needs to avoid is Joe Kernen of CNBC. Kernen had him swinging at air twice this week, on one occasion, leaving a bewildered Jeffries looking like a deer in the headlights.

Joe Kernen:

“Mr. Speaker, I don’t know about deflation and costs coming down. All I can tell you is that the inflation rate itself was 2.7 percent in the most recent read, year over year, versus, it got to a high of 9 percent under Biden.

Stocks are at record highs. Unemployment is 4.2 percent. That’s full employment. The GDP was 3 percent.”

“The border is actually secure. We’ve got trade deals with the EU, Japan, many more in the works, and trillions of dollars of foreign investment coming here. Iran’s nuclear ambitions have been set back indefinitely, and I just wrote down a few things.”

“I just have to ask you, where is the calamity that you’re talking about?

It almost seems like for Democrats, socialism is the answer to these problems, or I don’t know, an end of democracy or something. We just don’t get it.”

Low on both facts and intelligence, Jeffries then tried another typical tactic used by Democrats. In a disagreement with Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY), he got into Lawler’s personal space, rudely kept his finger in his face, and tried to be a tough guy by getting loud and talking in a condescending manner to Lawler.

Of course, Lawler wasn’t having any of it. He kept his cool with the dimwitted Jeffries and, by doing so, allowed him to make an obnoxious fool of himself.

Then, having not learned his lesson, Jeffries decided to try CNBC one more time, and once again was schooled by Joe Kernen using the truth and common sense, with a late assist from Becky Quick.

Joe Kernen, CNBC: “There was an ELECTION. Republicans were able to pass the Big Beautiful Bill. To then say, ‘We don’t like that, so we’re gonna shut down the government until you take back ALL the things you duly passed!'”

“If the GOP did that to the Inflation Reduction Act, or any of the Biden acts, shut down the government because we don’t like it, not pay military, not allow the government to open until YOU DO WHAT WE WANT, after an election when the American people put Democrats in power – you’d be GOING CRAZY!”

“It’s not how it works! It’s BAD, it’s a bad precedent! And you’re talking about the House? You’ve already passed this! The SENATE has a bill to reopen the government right now with five more Democrats.”

Jeffries: “What is bad precedent is the Republican refusal to engage in bipartisan negotiations! THEY’VE made the government shutdown; they could open it now!”

Kernen: “How?!”

Jeffries: “I just explained it! They want to keep it closed. Cruelty has been the point. Sit down and negotiate a bipartisan path forward!”

Becky Quick, CNBC: “Can you do that while the government is open?! That’s the offer on the table. Sounds like they are willing to negotiate.”

Jeffries: “Healthcare is an issue Republicans have ignored!”

The Democrats have bitten off more than they can chew. They are trying to hold America hostage by demanding that over $1.7 trillion of waste be reinstated before ending the shutdown. Since the 2024 election, the Democrats see themselves as bullies, dropping F-bombs, raising hell at every turn, and inciting deadly violence of the type that cost Charlie Kirk his life. It wouldn’t matter who they trotted out to argue their point of view, because they don’t have one.

Perhaps that’s why we’re seeing so much of Jeffries. When you have nothing to say, send out a zero to say it. It appears that the Democratic Party considers him collateral damage in this fiscal fight they are destined to lose.
