Jack Smith, Arctic Frost, And The Dire Need For Consequences

The FBI has confirmed that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team used a secret investigation called Arctic Frost to track the private calls and communications of nearly a dozen sitting Republican Senators and one Congressman during the January 6 probe.

This was not rumor or speculation.

Internal FBI documents titled Arctic Frost – Election Law Matters – Sensitive Investigative Matter – CAST show that Smith’s investigators conducted “toll analysis” on senators’ phone records.

That means they tracked who they called, when, and how often, without their knowledge.

The senators targeted include:

  • Lindsey Graham (R–SC)
  • Marsha Blackburn (R–TN)
  • Ron Johnson (R–WI)
  • Josh Hawley (R–MO)
  • Bill Hagerty (R–TN)
  • Tommy Tuberville (R–AL)
  • Dan Sullivan (R–AK)
  • Cynthia Lummis (R–WY)

Each of these senators is now learning that the FBI, under Jack Smith’s direction, was monitoring their phone activity.

So what is Arctic Frost?

It is the FBI’s internal name for a massive investigation launched to supposedly protect “election integrity.”

But Senate oversight documents show it grew far beyond that.

What began as an election law case expanded into a political dragnet that pulled in Republican lawmakers, conservative groups, and state officials who questioned the 2020 election results.

At one point, there were reports of more than 90 Republican-related targets connected to Arctic Frost.

The case was marked as a “Sensitive Investigative Matter,” which means the FBI knew it was politically charged but pushed forward anyway.

That is not about defending democracy.

It is about controlling it.

The Department of Justice claims it is independent, yet it continues to use its power against political opponents.

Crossfire Hurricane.

FISA abuse.

Parents labeled as extremists for speaking at school board meetings.

The raid on Trump’s home.

And now, Arctic Frost.

If the executive branch can secretly spy on the legislative branch, the Constitution is meaningless.

There is no separation of powers when one branch can watch another in secret.

This is an abuse of power worse than Watergate.

Every subpoena, every warrant, and every communication under Arctic Frost must be made public.

Jack Smith should be subpoenaed and questioned under oath immediately.

The American people deserve to know who ordered this, who approved it, and who benefited from it.

If this stands, then political surveillance will become normal in the United States.

Once that line is crossed, it will not be easy to uncross.

This is not just a scandal.

It is a warning.

We must stop it now, or we will surrender our freedom to those who believe they are above it.
