Boston Mayor Wu is A Tru Blue Lu Lu
Somalians have been in the news a lot lately. The multi-billion-dollar scam that Tim Walz oversaw in Minnesota was the loudest noise, but school districts raising Somali flags alongside American flags also angered patriotic Americans.
So leave it to Boston mayor Michelle Wu to drag her gas can out to the fire and then add her special brand of stupidity into the mix. Wu, whom I have written about several times before, is notorious for poor decisions across a wide range of subjects.
Like all Democratic mayors, she is an offensive presence who should have no power over others. Wu first made national news in 2023 when she decided to invite only people of color to an office Christmas party. That plan was foiled when a staff member accidentally mailed the invitation to everyone, not just those of color, as Wu intended. Wu called it an “Electeds of Color Holiday Party,” but in reality, it was open racism and division that brought embarrassment to the city.
Last year, Wu proposed that children as young as eleven be able to vote on the city’s budget. Fortunately, rational voices were heard. City Councilor Ed Flynn, a fellow Democrat, criticized Wu for her “tone-deaf” and “unserious” proposal to allow illegal migrants and children as young as 11 to vote on the city’s budget.
Earlier this year, two people ran into the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Copley Square, who were being pursued by a man with a knife who was trying to stab them.
An off-duty police officer inside the establishment identified himself to the attacker and instructed him to drop his knife.
Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox explained:
“The officer then instructed the man to drop the weapon, to which he did not comply. The officer then discharged his weapon to stop the threat, and the armed man was struck. He was then taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”
“The officer was transported to a hospital for evaluation, but at this time, there are no other reported injuries,” Cox added, as reported by the Daily Mail.
To rational people, it’s evident that the police officer involved in this incident acted correctly and probably saved lives. Had he not been in the restaurant, there is no telling how many people may have been injured or killed.
However, short-sighted and cold-hearted Mayor Wu started her press conference off by expressing sympathy for the would-be murderer.
“My condolences and all of our thoughts are with the family of the individual whose life has been lost.”
“I am also thinking of all the people who were impacted here today in one of the busier parts of the city with this tragedy. I’m glad the officer is safe and very grateful for a quick response from all of our first responders.”
Two other city officials also started their remarks similarly, and none of them specifically thanked the officer involved. The intended victims weren’t singled out either, which sent a clear message about the mayor’s priorities.
In June, Wu likened ICE agents who wear masks to members of a neo-Nazi group. She told reporters:
“I don’t know of any police department that routinely wears masks. We know that there are other groups that routinely wear masks. NSC-131 (a New England neo-Nazi group) routinely wears masks.”
In July, Mayor Wu celebrated the raising of the Somali flag over City Hall in a ceremony described as “conquering colonialism.” Wu angered many when she declared July 1, 2025, to be Somali Independence Day in Boston. She said, “Boston is safer, smarter, and stronger because of our Somali neighbors.”
This week, Wu shared a video on her social media account in which she stated that the Somali community has contributed significantly to Boston’s achievements, even though the city was founded in 1630 and is one of the oldest in the country. Her comments were made on Monday, following an incident where federal officials removed some Somalis from the line at Faneuil Hall.
“You cannot talk about any achievement that the city of Boston has had, in safety, jobs and economic development, in education, without talking about the Somali community that has lifted our city up.”
“We are proud, and we are grateful for our Somali community and for our Somali American neighbors. Boston and the country are clear that hate has no place in our society. We will use every attack to actually strengthen and expand the services available to empower and work alongside our community members who are already doing so much good in the world and set an example for the rest of the country.”
Todd Lyons, ICE acting Director, responded by saying:
“Here’s what I have to say to Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, and anyone else stirring up the outrage about what ICE does: These are real people with real families you’re hurting with your ridiculous rhetoric and inflammatory comments, and it’s time to remember that.”
When CNN’s Boris Sanchez asked Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) about President Trump’s comments calling Somalis “filthy.” He defended the Trump administration’s stance.
“Not all cultures are equal, and not all countries are equal. There are some people who come to this country to add value, and there are some that come to this country to take value.”
Fine is absolutely correct. Any culture that refuses to assimilate into American society will only cause more division. Liberals like Wu with bleeding hearts and empty heads will continue to try and kick Western Culture to the curb, which will rightfully anger those who cherish it.
