Another Nail In Minnesota’s Somali Fraud Coffin, But When Can We Bury It?
Republicans never seem to run out of nails when they are trying to nail Democrats or radical leftists on an issue. They get out their hammer and pound away, putting nail after nail in the proverbial coffin of whatever issue they are exposing or pursuing, but they never finish the job and bury it.
If Republicans were involved in an actual funeral, they would announce the death, make the arrangements, give the eulogy, nail the coffin closed, and then the corpse would magically just get up and walk away.
For conservatives, the frustration keeps mounting as scandal after scandal is perpetrated by the Democrats, exposed by Republicans, and then nothing is accomplished. No money is recovered, and no one is punished. After months of being in the light, the crimes committed by Democrats and their minions just fade away into the darkness of MSM oblivion.
The Somali fraud that took place in Minnesota cost taxpayers conservatively over one billion dollars, and some estimates have it as over 2 billion, but Democrats in the state continue to deny and defend, even though there is no possible defense.
By early 2026, the Somali fraud scandal in Minnesota, mainly centered around the Feeding Our Future nonprofit, had evolved into a major federal investigation. Nearly 100 individuals, mostly of Somali descent, have been charged. The scandal, described as a large-scale COVID relief fraud scheme, involves allegations that defendants misappropriated over $250 million—potentially up to $1 billion when including other programs—by falsely claiming to feed children who were not real.
The scandal began when federal agents raided sites associated with Feeding Our Future, which was supposed to provide food to needy children, back in January 2022. According to federal charges, Defendants created fake distribution sites and submitted fraudulent reimbursement claims to federal child nutrition programs.
By late 2025, 78 defendants had been indicted, with over 50 pleading guilty. By early 2026, the number of charged individuals had risen to 98, with 85 of them of Somali descent. Not to worry, though, the funds were reportedly laundered and used to buy luxury items and properties, with allegations that some funds were sent overseas.
Another chapter in the Minneapolis fraud scam emerged, concerning daycare systems that were raking in millions of dollars and, once again, doing nothing. Buildings with blacked-out windows and misspelled signs claiming to take care of children. In December last year, YouTuber Nick Shirley helped expose the Somali fraud scandal with a series of viral videos in which he and another investigator visited fraud-infested locations across Minneapolis. Shirley did this — and continues to do it — at great personal risk.
Amazingly, Democrats and MSM outlets like CNN are still trying to deny that the fraud took place. Meanwhile, conservative politicians who know the fraud is real do nothing. Yes, they will indict the pawns, wealthy pawns, admittedly, but where are the indictments of the politicians who knew what was happening and turned a blind eye? Politicians that we know are being compensated in some way, yet escape prosecution.
Still, the evidence mounts. During a legislative fraud committee hearing on Monday morning, Minnesota Republican Rep. Kristin Robbins, a candidate for governor, highlighted the ongoing issue of fraud involving Somalis.
She presented evidence indicating that nearly a billion dollars in cash had been transported out of Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport in passengers’ luggage over recent years, including $350 million in 2025 alone.
In a video clip on X, Robbins posed the question, “We hear all these reports of money leaving the airport. Why doesn’t the state stop this?”
“For context, we have the 16th largest airport. That number, $350 million leaving our airport in cash, is higher than the cash leaving any other airport in the country.”
In January, officials from the Department of Homeland Security told John Solomon of Just the News that the Transportation Security Administration:
“Flagged nearly $700 million in cash detected in passengers’ luggage leaving the Minneapolis airport the last two years,” and that officials linked this “massive cash exodus” to “Somali immigrants and their money couriers.”
Former TSA agent Liz Jaksa said in a December 2025 interview with Alpha News’ Liz Collin.
“I saw suitcases filled with millions of dollars of cash, and the couriers were always Somali men traveling in pairs. And they got through the checkpoint.”
During last month’s State of the Union Address, Trump announced that Vice President J.D. Vance would lead the administration’s efforts to bring justice to fraudsters across the country.
Last week, Trump signed an executive order, “Establishing the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud.” With Vance as its chair, the task force will determine the truth of what Trump suggested to reporters in the Oval Office that same day, when he identified three Democrats — Gov. Tim Walz, Rep. Ilhan Omar, and State Attorney General Keith Ellison — as likely “complicit” in the Minnesota Somali fraud scandal.
Another case of people being placed in charge, and a lot of noise surrounding an issue that MUST be addressed. However, once these issues are illuminated, then the masses are placated, but placating isn’t enough.
Real Heads need to roll. Traitors like Omar need to be prosecuted, then deported. Morons like Walz need to be prosecuted and imprisoned, and likewise with hateful liars like Keith Ellison.
The circus has overstayed its welcome. The show’s over, and going forward, it’s time to change the ending. People have already lost interest in things that don’t end well, and all these bluster shows of strength don’t end the way they should.
If Republicans want to secure their place in the House and Senate, the dog-and-pony shows need to be replaced with real, substantive action.
Actually, rescuing the Democratic Republic seems like a bridge too far at this point; nevertheless, one step at a time.
