Jefferson County Schools In Colorado Is Betraying Parents And Girls With Title IX Lies
Jefferson County Schools in Colorado, is thumbing its nose at federal law and the rights of young girls by deliberately clinging to a misinterpretation of Title IX. This type of blind loyalty to the blatant ignorance of truth is unbelievable. Jefferson County doesnโt have one case of a male athlete competing on a female team, or two, or three, or four. According to the U.S. Department of Education, there are 61 cases of males competing against females.
Of course, indignity and betrayal doesnโt stop with boys stealing spots on girls’ teams. According to a news release, the school board is continuously violating Title IX rules โby permitting male students to access female bathrooms, locker rooms, and overnight accommodations, and to compete in female sports.โ
According to the Office of Civil Rights, the school’s athletic rosters showed that males are filling up to 61 roster spots on female sports teams.
The problem here is pure radical leftist-based delusions. The County officials refuse to acknowledge science and biology, and instead cling to the mental illness of boys pretending to be girls. By siding with the deranged, they are punishing innocent girls. The officeโs release states that the district โdiscriminates against females by denying them safety, dignity, and equal access to educational programs and activities.โ
Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Kimberly Richey wasnโt mincing words
โTodayโs findings reveal sweeping Title IX violations by Jefferson County Public Schools โ denying fairness and equality to female students by allowing males into their private facilities, overnight accommodations, and athletics. The Districtโs decision to prioritize โgender identityโ over ensuring equal access for its female students is unconscionable.โ
โThe District must act now to end these violations and protect future generations of girls from sex discrimination. The Trump Administration will not relent until female athletesโ safety, opportunities, and equal protection under the law are fully restored.โ
The district was given 10 days to agree to the Trump administration’s terms in a Resolution Agreement, which will include eliminating policies that allow men to access โfemale intimate facilities,โ stay overnight with girls, and compete in female sports.
The district is required to publicly declare its compliance with Title IX by using biology to determine gender and by adhering to federal law regardless of state definitions of biology.
Lindsay Datko, one of the parents, backed the action, she told CBS News:
โThis is real children who are developing who need these guidelines and boundaries so that everybody feels comfortable attending Jeffco schools.โ
โDistrict leaders call their policy equal opportunity, and really, it sidelines anybody who is not transgender.โ
She stated that parents blew the whistle after one overnight incident.
โParents really rose up and sent us example after example. Students were coming home and saying that they were slipping in their sleeping bags to avoid changing in front of their female high school leader, who was of the opposite sex.โ
While not explicitly stating it would refuse compliance, the school district issued a statement declaring that the Department of Educationโs conclusion is incorrect and that the proposed Resolution Agreement by OCR would put Jeffco in direct conflict with Colorado law.
The district came under federal scrutiny in June of last year. At that time, the probe was centered around a district policy in which students could be โassigned to share overnight accommodations with other students that share a studentโs โgender identity.โโ
The policy came to light after โparents of an 11-year-old girl in the district discovered their daughter would have had to share a bed with a male student on an overnight school trip without being notified by the school.โ
At that time, the Education Department stated that parents were informed that students would be separated by gender, but not that the definitions allowed boys to identify as girls.
61 cases! What the hell are the officials in this district thinking? Based on their response, I wouldnโt count on them complying without dragging this issue out even further.
Democrats and those on the extreme left have an aversion to the truth, and they also have a very difficult time admitting when they are wrong. There is absolutely no justification for them to allow biological males to compete against females, and there is certainly no reason to have them in the bathrooms, locker rooms, and bedrooms with them.
This is not about being fair to transgenders; if they wanted to be fair or do the right thing, they would refer them to capable counselors instead of inflicting their sickness onto healthy females.
The officials have lied and deceived the very students they were hired to protect, as well as their parents. The district needs to be made an example of, and once these 61 cases are finalized with all biological genders in the proper places, heads need to roll.
This is a disgrace.
