If Cesspools Have Armpits, Fairfax County, VA Needs Deodorant

Over the last several years, I have written many columns about Fairfax County, Virginia. Most have been about their unapologetic, arrogant, and despicable school system. The schools there continue to be nothing more than indoctrination centers for frustrated radical malcontents who have forgotten that their goal is to educate students in specified subjects and to keep their opinions the hell out of the classrooms.

In 2024, Virginiaโ€™s most degenerate county, in another display of brazen ignorance, Democrats on Fairfax Countyโ€˜s board of supervisors voted to designate Easter Sunday as Transgender Visibility Day.

The proclamation went far beyond the supposed idea of making transgender people and gender ideology activists feel seen. Members of the board were and are continuing to slap Christians in the face and continue to bow at the altar of the unnatural. To do this to Christians on one of the Holiest days of the Christian calendar is unthinkable and, more importantly, unforgivable to the extent that it was and is so blatantly inappropriate in every way.

Did they learn? No. On Monday, in their infinite wisdom, the county decided students should no longer have Veterans Day as a holiday. That said, they also decide to keep the preposterous, non-existent Woke Indigenous Peoplesโ€™ Day.

FFX Now reported on Monday that the county school board had finalized its calendar for the next academic year, which reduced the number of early release days and removed Veterans Day as a holiday.

Curiously, both Veterans Day and Indigenous Peoplesโ€™ Day were up for omission as holidays, but to no oneโ€™s surprise, this blasphemous county went down the path of the lost and chose to desecrate another meaningful holiday.

Their excuse this time was that the decision came in response to parental concerns surrounding disruptions to the school year, but that doesnโ€™t excuse their illogical decision to choose woke ideology over the reality of American Veterans and the sacrifices they made.

The real tragedy of this story is that Virginia has a long and hallowed history involving Americaโ€™s military and some of its most storied characters. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe were all born in the state.

Not to mention, British General Lord Charles Cornwallis surrendered to Washington at Yorktown, Virginia, in October 1781.

Still, the biggest disgrace with this decision is that Arlington National Cemetery is located in Virginia at 1 Memorial Avenue, Arlington, VA 22211. This place of honor is the final resting place for service members who died on active duty, retirees from the Armed Forces, Medal of Honor recipients, and former Prisoners of War (POWs). Eligible veterans with honorable discharges, spouses, and certain dependents can also be buried or inurned there. Requirements are strict, often requiring at least 20 years of active service or specific high-level combat medals.

It’s unfortunate that a school district in a state where many brave soldiers sacrificed their lives to protect the rights of others doesn’t recognize the irony in their actions. In this case, the district seems to be suffering from a form of deliberate ignorance.

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is the largest school division in Virginia and one of the largest in the United States, serving nearly 183,000 students across 223 schools as of 2026. The district has a student-teacher ratio of 14:1 and employs over 15,000 educators.

Thatโ€™s an incredible amount of Woke zombies that this district can manufacture with a favorable student-to-teacher ratio, which Iโ€™m betting is no accident.

Bottom line, Virginia, which is now governed by Communist Abigail Scam-berger, a Mamdani clone, only worse, and home to one of the largest zombie-producing school districts, should now be considered a contaminated site for free-thinking Americans who love their children and the American way of life.
