About that Connection between Trump’s Deportations and Crime Hitting a Multi-decade Low
Trump derangement syndrome takes many forms. While some try to blame the current President for everything wrong with America, and even much of the international community, this mental condition also takes more interesting and insidious forms as well. Some refuse to give MAGA any credit for even the obvious accomplishments right in front of everyone’s face. The left has always hated facts that are inconvenient to the narratives these radicals push, and denying reality when the truth doesn’t fit these extremists’ agenda is a core part of today’s failing Democratic Party.
The number one issue Donald Trump ran on, going back to his famous trip down the escalator in 2015, was securing the border. Trump discussed the need to control access to our country for several main reasons. The President stated that a nation of laws must control their sovereignty, public safety risks, and the need to make sure America is bringing in people who want to be here and fit in with the country’s cultural values. When Biden came into power, one of the first actions the disgraced former President took was to tear up Trump’s Remain in Mexico agreement and open the border. The results were disastrous. Fentanyl deaths skyrocketed, crime soared, and many sanctuary cities already hit hard by the failed Democratic mayor’s responses to COVID were forced to allocate enormous amounts of resources to people who had no right to be in the country.
When President Trump was reelected in 2024 in a landslide, the 47th leader of this nation moved quickly to both deport people who should have never been allowed in the country in the first place, as well as to resecure the southern border. He has succeeded on both fronts, and the public is reaping the benefits in a number of ways that, unsurprisingly, are being conveniently omitted by the corrupt and failing liberal media. First and most importantly, crime is not at a multidecade low. Despite the absurd narratives pushed by the Democrats and their left-wing allies in the media, ICE was prioritizing violent illegal aliens such as rapists and murderers. Since Kristi Noem was fired, Tom Homan has taken a bigger role, and the seasoned public official, well-known for his ability to build relationships with state and local leaders of both parties, is helping Trump deliver on one of his core promises of the 2024 Presidential campaign, the pledge to carry out mass deportations. Also, of near equal importance, drug overdoses have plummeted since Trump secured the border, and cities are being forced to use fewer resources on illegal immigration as well. While not every illegal immigrant is obviously a violent criminal, Biden did not know who was coming into the country.
The most absurd example of the corrupt and failing press trying to keep the public from correctly giving the 47th President the credit he deserves for securing the border and getting crime down was some members of the media actually trying to give the newly elected communist Mayor of New York, Mamdani, credit for Trump’s work. The left-wing leader not only didn’t support the President’s efforts to secure the border and deport violent criminals, but he also repeatedly attacked ICE as well. Trump has succeeded in making US Cities and the country as a whole safer in spite of the horrendous leadership by left-wing leaders such as Mamdani, not because of them. The United States has the lowest rate of homicide and property crimes recorded since 1968, and that includes cities such as Washington D.C., where Trump successfully sent in the National Guard.
Many dishonest and corrupt members of the national media, as well as even some RINOs, have tried to depict Trump’s second term as unsuccessful, because the President didn’t have a magic wand to suddenly lower prices that had been rising at historic levels for 4 long years under the failed left-wing economic policies of Biden and the Democrats. The reality could not be more different. The President has not only secured the border and passed historic economic legislation such as the Big and Beautiful Bill, but Trump is on the verge of getting what looks increasingly like a final agreement to stop Iran once and for all from being able to obtain nuclear weapons. This is after the President was able to remove Maduro, a ruthless leader whose corrupt party had been targeted unsuccessfully by both Obama and Bush for years. Trump has more work to do, as the 47th leader himself would say, but to not give the President any credit for crime hitting a multidecade low and to ignore the obvious connection between his deportations is simply delusional.
