If He Keeps This Up, I Could Become a Bill Maher Fan
I have to hand it to Bill Maher. For about the last two years, he has been spotting cracks in the Democratic Party and, from time to time, has stepped up and called them out on some of the moronic things that come out of their mouths.
There was never a doubt that Maher was still a staunch Democrat. He wasn’t calling them out to be obstinate or because he was contemplating switching parties. He was being honest that instead of slowing their hard pull to the left, Democrats were being swallowed by the radicals to the extent that mainstream America was and is getting smaller and smaller in their rearview mirror.
One problem for the party is that too many Democrats are so consumed with TDS that they absolutely refuse to accept their own shortcomings. Correction, that was me being kind. The vast majority of Democrats can’t even SEE their own shortcomings, so they are far away from accepting them.
Whether everyday Democrats deny it or not, their party officials and so-called elites have pulled so far to the left that they are now actively preaching and pushing communism. I’m stupefied that if you talk to a Democrat on the street, they still won’t accept the truth despite the fact that their own candidates are no longer even trying to deny it.
On Friday during his “Real Time” segment on HBO, Maher argued that the Democratic Socialists of America have embraced communism openly. Maher said that when President Donald Trump labels the group communist, the description holds up.
In a video that he posted on X, Maher made his feelings clear:
“Donald Trump has told one trillion lies, but when he says the Democratic Socialists of America are actually communist, that’s not one of them.”
It wasn’t difficult for Maher to construct his argument. All he needed to do was reference statements from officials and candidates within the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
He highlighted that the DSA platform draws direct inspiration from Karl Marx and noted that New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani had once quoted Marx’s words word for word on social media. Maher also pointed out that a faction known as the Marxist Unity Group, which now holds significant influence within the organization and aims for a classless society, “In a word, communism.”
As Maher requoted a post from a top Mamdani aide, Cea Weaver, who openly urged voters to support communist candidates, the audience went audibly silent, to which Maher reacted by saying:
“Yes. Good, I’m glad you’re shocked. People got to realize this is going on.”
Personally, I do disagree with Maher on one small point. He described the shift within the Democratic Party as a hostile takeover. “You know what’s being colonized now? The Democratic Party.” However, I don’t think there is anything hostile about it. Democrats are like lemmings; they will follow leadership anywhere, no matter how delusional or ridiculous the stance.
Is the Democratic Party being colonized? Yes, but it is taking place mindlessly and willingly.
Maher first floated his shifting loyalty during a June exchange with Vice President JD Vance, when he stated that his vote was “In play.”
As his segment was drawing to a close, Maher took a parting shot at the Democrats, using former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to soften the blow. He stated that he would rather vote for Palin than any Democrat who is aligned with DSA. He called her a “Bimbo,” but added that at least she could still name something she likes about the country. He ended by giving the camera one of Palin’s signature winks.
Maher is one hundred percent accurate in his assessment of the current state of the Democratic Party. He is also locked and loaded in his criticism of their embracing communist doctrine.
If people are paying attention, this Midterm election should result in a solid win for Republicans. If they lose, the country has either not paid attention to the corruption of the Democrats, or they have once again manipulated the results.
It’s really simple, America. Republicans represent American tradition and Western Culture, while Democrats have collapsed into communism.
