ChatGPT: The Latest Woke Threat to Your Children

As if the relentless assault by the woke industrial complex on our nation’s youth wasn’t enough, progressives now have another tool they can use to hook your children on their warped ideology.

ChatGPT, which was developed by start-up OpenAI in close conjunction with Microsoft, is the first of a new generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems that can create intelligent text, video and images drawn from a vast database of digitized books, online sources and other accessible media. Perhaps most importantly, ChatGPT can converse, through text, in a way that mimics human conversational patterns. Immediately after its launch, the bot proved so popular it drew more than one million users.

According to OpenAI, ChaptGBT was trained using Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF). Human AI trainers provided conversations where they assumed both the roles of the user and the AI. This included “model-written” suggestions to help the trainers compose their responses.

I started a conversation with the clever AI, and when I looked at the clock, over an hour had passed. In truth, I found the bot highly addictive in a TikTok kind of way.

The Danger of ChatGPT in Schools

While tech visionaries like Elon Musk have spoken of the apocalyptic dangers of AI, the threat posed by ChatGPT is more subtle and immediate. While OpenAI acknowledges there are flaws in the system, namely the AI sometimes writes plausible sounding but nonsensical answers, there is no reason to believe this technology won’t be widely adopted in the near future.

As a tool for teachers, ChatGPT can be a helpful timesaver. In fact, Chris Nilsson, Director of Technology for Fort Bend ISD, said that six out of ten questions generated for a quiz on voltage and current were “excellent.” In an environment where teachers are stretched to the limit, the ability to create tests, quizzes and study aides on the fly would prove invaluable.

Yet, the challenge and the dark side of ChatGPT lie on the student side. Never underestimate the ingenuity of school-aged children searching for creative ways to avoid doing their homework, and from that perspective, ChatGBT is a huge hit. If you need a 500-word essay on the fall of the Roman Empire, the AI can truncate what would have taken hours of work into just a few seconds. That’s why school districts around the country, including the New York City Department of Education (NYChttps://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/new-york-city-public-schools-ban-chatgpt-devices-networks-rcna64446DOE), have restricted access to the chatbot on all internet connected devices in their schools.

“While the tool may be able to provide quick and easy answers to questions, it does not build critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, which are essential for academic and lifelong success,” said Jenna Lyle, spokesperson for the NYCDOE.

Even with plagiarism tools to detect the use of ChatGPT, including GPTZero, and an app under development at OpenAI itself, one can’t help but wonder if detection systems can be tricked through rewording or even running the piece through an article spinner. In any event, there is no question that’s serious challenges to the integrity of the entire educational system are emerging.

The Worst Threat from ChatGPT

Even with the risks the new AI format presents to the traditional education model, that’s hardly the most serious danger. If you take a few minutes to interact with ChatGPT on a variety of social, economic and political topics, you’ll quickly learn the AI has a decidedly woke, liberal perspective, which, frankly, is very troubling.

Don’t believe me? Here are partial answer screenshot samples of questions I asked ChatGPT on a few of today’s most contentious issues:

Do you see where this is going?

Even when I presented virtually irrefutable evidence of tampering with the EMS database in Maricopa County during the 2020 election, the AI maddeningly defaulted to an ad hominin attack on the forensic IT company that conducted the audit. That’s how intrinsic the liberal bias is in its programming.

While ChatGPT is in its infancy stages, future AI advancements will become increasingly more perceptive, intelligent and predicative. If the people who are developing these machines are inserting their woke dogma into the code, we shouldn’t be surprised if our children begin to parrot these same warped, psychotic beliefs and philosophies as AI becomes more broadly adopted. While woke teachers may be suspicious of AI due to unfamiliarity, expect a sudden and complete change in their attitude and policies if they realize that AI is helping to mold students in a way that promotes the woke agenda.

Perhaps even more frightening is the probability that an advanced AI will have the capacity to make judgments about a person’s political persuasion based on conversation or observation. It’s not a stretch to imagine reports generated and passed on to some centralized agency for “social credit” evaluation, especially since civilian surveillance is an area the Biden administration is keenly interested in pursuing.

AI in the hands of anti-American programmers and end users is a dystopian nightmare of unimaginable consequence, but there is no reason to assume that isn’t exactly what will happen. Add AI to the growing list of mediums you must monitor and fight against in the ongoing battle to save our country from the woke authoritarians who want to destroy it.

So we have another threat to the child’s mental health. Just great…
