Illegal Aliens Dumped on the Streets of Small Arizona Cities

The U.S. Border Patrol has encountered nearly 8 million illegal aliens since Joe Biden became president. FAIR estimates 4.9 million aliens had entered the country as of August 2022, so they verify what the Border Patrol is reporting.

These are staggering numbers that are difficult to comprehend. As of April 1, 2020, Census reported a total U.S. population of 331,449,281. Therefore, during the Biden presidency of just three years, the U.S. population has increased by 2.4% solely from illegal border crossers.

A Policy Failure… or Success?

For everyone experiencing the crime, drugs and lower wages associated with the illegal alien invasion, there is no question that Biden’s border policies have been an unmitigated disaster. However, from a woke leftist point of view, there haven’t been enough aliens crossing over.

It’s important to remember that leftists are masochists who believe that no amount of suffering will atone for the sins of white racism. Naturally, they exempt themselves from the formula, but until the poorest and richest share wealth and resources equally, sanctimonious leftists will do everything in their power to improve the lives of illegal aliens at your expense. That’s why they support Biden’s open borders policies, at least as long as those entering the country are people of color who conform with the left’s socialist dogma.

Experiencing the Consequences of the Invasion 

In Arizona, people laugh at New York Mayor Eric Adams’ whining about the influx of illegal aliens into the city. To date, New York is dealing with about 60,000 aliens they invited when they declared themselves a sanctuary city. By contrast, border agents in the Tucson sector report as many as 2,000 illegal alien border crossings a day. For Mayor Adams and other woke leftist elitists, preaching sanctimony to others is virtuous until the problem shows up at your doorstep. Then they scream bloody murder.

To cope with the flood of illegals the Biden administration refuses to address, Border Patrol agents in Southern Arizona have begun to implement a program called “street release.” Essentially, this involves rounding up the aliens and releasing them indiscriminately into small towns and cities across the state.

Rubber stamped with what is called “legal process asylum,” the aliens have the right to remain in the United States even if they lack a sponsor, resources or job in the community where they are released. So far, street releases have occurred in Nogales, Douglas, Bisbee and Casa Grande. Tucson, which is already absorbing as many as 500 aliens a day, is targeted for street releases, if they haven’t already started.

In Cochise County, which is a rural area in Arizona, local officials were blindsided by the implementation of street release. Cochise County Sheriff, Mark Daniels, said that, “Cochise County is a rural county with limited resources, leaving these migrants vulnerable. In short, this lack of humanitarian consideration poses risk for the migrants.”

Street Release is a Certain Disaster

So, illegal aliens are being turned out into unfamiliar communities with no money, support system or a place to live. Most can’t speak English either.

What could possibly go wrong?

The quality of life in Tucson, which was once a thriving sunbelt location, has deteriorated significantly since the illegal alien invasion began. In Arizona, violent crime is up over 10% since 2019. In contrast, Tucson violent crime is up over 75% compared to 2022, and drug overdose deaths have risen for five straight years.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to connect the dots.

The Solution to the Illegal Alien Crisis

It is worth noting that all the street releases so far have been limited to either remote rural locations or cities and towns comprised primarily of low-income residents. Nowhere could I find any plans for street releases in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Cave Creek, Oro Valley, or other affluent areas in Arizona. As usual, liberal elites remain isolated from the problems they create, and until that ends, there is no incentive for them to support measures to address the issue. Instead, they can continue to preach self-righteous moral superiority without consequence.

Every gated community in America should bear the burden of the invasion equally with the poorer areas in the country, and street releases should be scheduled proportionally in every town and city regardless of the property tax base. Let’s see how fast the border problem is dealt with if there are feces and drug needles in Barrington Hills, Chevy Chase, Crystal Bay, Atherton or Hyannis Port.

Average Americans have suffered enough from the effects of illegal immigration. They have watched their wages deteriorate, their access to quality healthcare decline, their property values depreciate and their neighborhoods become riddled with crime, while the leftist elitists remain untouched by the disaster they created.

Enough is enough.
