There is a good bit of backlash out there over a video released by First Lady Jill Biden – ahem, DOCTOR Jill Biden – which purports to be a Christmas offering to the country.
Exactly what this has to do with Christmas – and particularly, the actual reason for Christmas, that being the birth of Christ – is unexplained. Apparently it’s a holiday built around garish, tacky displays of fashion and interior decor rather than any sort of religious faith…
So you’ll know, this isn’t what a White House Christmas video typically looks like. For example, this is the video Melania Trump offered to the country in 2020…
That was, you’ll likely agree, considerably more dignified than…whatever Jill Biden just did.

Naturally, what’s also obnoxious about this is the overtly political aspect of it – as reflected in the selection of the dance company who’d be stomping their way through the White House in the video…
But yes, there is definitely a Hunger Games aesthetic going on here. This comes to mind…
Certainly there is nothing wrong with the White House putting on a lavish production as a Christmas video. Melania Trump’s Christmas videos were lavish.
But there’s lavish and there’s decadent. And what DOCTOR Jill Biden has brought us is the latter, as her husband and the people who handle him are enriching Washington and the ruling class, while engaging in promotion of the most bizarre social and cultural anomalies as normal. Everyone – and particularly everyone in the “flyover districts,” sees it. And that’s why it’s being roasted today.
