An Earthquake Under the Surface: Signs Many in the Black Community Are Beginning to Move Heavily to Trump

Sadly, this disturbing trend has been a foregone conclusion in the past for decades. The Democrats and the left will get 90 percent or close to that number of votes from people in the black community, and Republicans won’t in most cases even campaign in many urban areas where the vote in this community makes the biggest difference. The only question in most election cycles is what percentage of the vote in the black community Democrats will get.

The upcoming Presidential election will be different. Even though Biden received a record number of votes from people in the black community in 2020, President Trump made a strong push when he was in office to court the black vote, and the former President is making an even stronger push in many urban areas that have the largest black communities this time around. The big change in this election cycle is that many in the black community are much more receptive to Trump’s message, and the polls show this. Two examples of this emerging trend are a recent New York Times poll shows that support for Trump is up from 4% to 23%, and a recent survey also found nearly 17% of black voters would vote for Trump if the election were held today. Equally important, the recent survey found that 20% of black voters would not vote for Trump or Biden. Biden received 92% of the black vote in 2020, compared to Hillary Clinton, who received 91% of the black vote in 2016. Biden also received far stronger turnout numbers in this community in 2020.

While you won’t see these local news videos on MSNBC or CNN, but this has been happening throughout the United States. Many illegal immigrants are being settled in poorer communities in urban areas such as Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. The cost to house and pay for these people who came here illegally is in many cases coming directly out of the resources usually committed to the Black and Latino communities in these cities. Democratic Mayor Eric Abrams recently stated that New York City would need nearly $5 billion just to handle the number of illegal immigrants who have come to the city for 6 months, and he left wing leader has also stated that the City would likely need nearly $12 billion in total to pay for illegals. Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson has already allocated over $100 million towards illegal immigrants for 2024

Many in the black community have been crushed on multiple fronts by the far-left wing policies Biden has pursued over the last 3 years, and inflation, crime, and illegal inflation, are all issues that have hurt many in the this community significantly. The left has nothing to offer to middle and low income communities, white, black, or any other race, and that is becoming increasingly clear even to those who supported the incompetent President in 2020. President Trump supports securing the border, school choice, and making sure law enforcement has the proper support and funding to lower the out-of-control crime wave we are seeing in many urban areas. Florida’s largest police union recently announced their support for President Trump, and the former President received the support of nearly every major law enforcement organization in 2020 as well.

President Trump is also making a new and stronger push in the black community, particularly in more urban areas such as Philadelphia, and the former President’s campaign should be much better run in 2024 than when Jarred Kushner was in charge in 2020. There have even been some notable celebrities in the black community, such as Stephen A. Smith, Shaquille O’Neal, and Ice Cube, who have spoken in favor of Trump, and against Biden. While these individuals obviously don’t speak for all of the black community, they are a sign that the tide is starting to turn in favor of Trump and the Republicans. Woody Allen once famously stated that, “90% of success in life is showing up.” President Trump one of the first Presidential nominees of the Republican party in a long time who will be showing up in the black community a lot in this election cycle.
