The Massive Increase in Child Labor Shows Yet Another Consequence of Biden’s Open Border

People lie but facts don’t. While the failed and corrupt current administration continues to falsely claim the border has been close, the numbers tell the story.

According to the Pew Research Center, border encounters with migrants reached a record level in December of last year, at 250,000, surpassing the previous record of 224,000 in May of 2022. The nearly 200,000 overdose deaths from synthetic opioids that are mostly coming from China across are open border is embarrassing as well. Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death in America for people between the age of 18 and 45. The border is open, and the facts show this claim is unequivocally true.

The Child Labor Data shows the consequence of an open border as well. There has been a massive spike in illegal child labor under the incompetent current administration. Labor inspectors found 5,792 children working illegally in fiscal year 2023, which was a 50% increase from the previous year and a 470% increase since 2015. More than $8 million dollars in fines was levied to employers illegally employing children. These facts come after the incompetent and still unconfirmed Labor Secretary admitted to not being able to track 85 thousand children.

The cartels are clearly trafficking children across the open border, knowing the demand for child labor in industries in the US is high. With a labor shortage and rising wages, some employers are obviously more willing to engage in this egregious practice. More than 250,000 unaccompanied minors have entered the US just in the last 2 years, and the inspectors are obviously not catching every minor engaged in illegal labor.

While some on the left tried briefly to suggest a correlation existed between Republican lawmakers changing law to encourage minors to legally work to the huge increase in illegal child labor, the numbers clearly show that issue is with illegal labor.

The current administration recently proposed expanding Obamacare to illegals, and illegals are already being given free cell phones in some cases as well. Cities across the United State from Chicago to New York are being forced to allocate massive amounts of money to take care of illegal immigrants even as these cities continue to deal with crime, homelessness, and other problems.

Biden even targeted New York mayor Adams after the Democrat spoke up against the current President’s failed policies.

This administration create the crisis at the border by ripping up former President Trump’s successful remain in Mexico policy and also by ending the use of title 42 to stop illegals from seeking asylum. There are many on the left that like to glamorize the idea of massive numbers of illegal immigrants coming to this country, but the data shows that child trafficking, drugs, and other consequences of the current administration’s failed policy are the result of having an open border. The most basic responsibility of any government is to keep the people safe, and this administration has willfully abdicated their vital responsibility to the public.
