State Governor Whines About Illegals She Protected

At some point, liberals will hopefully realize that illegal aliens are criminals in that they have broken the law by entering the country in an unlawful manner. Hopefully, they will also connect the dots and understand that people who willingly break the law may do so again, and the country does not need to protect those types of people.

The Massachusetts governor, Maura Healey, is a walking, talking liberal contradiction. Healey is a DEI-promoting intersectional lesbian who, since she took office in 2022, has proudly declared her state to be a โ€œsanctuary state.โ€ However, now she is upset because some illegals are, in her words, โ€œtaking advantageโ€ of shelters that are funded by taxpayer dollars.

Last week, one of her illegal house guests was busted with an AR-15 rifle and almost $1 million in drugs. Now, Healey wants everyone to know she took that personally. Mind you, Healey has promised to defy Trumpโ€™s mass deportation mandate. She stated that Massachusetts State Police will be barred from assisting ICE authorities in carrying out the program. Yet she has the nerve to claim the federal government isnโ€™t doing anything to control illegal migration.

Actually, under Biden, sheโ€™s correct. Since the empty-headed puppet took office, over 12 million illegals have swarmed into the country. So, you would think she would be on board with Trumpโ€™s plan, but thatโ€™s the problem with Healey: she wants her cake and to eat it, too. She talks out of both sides of her mouth; she feigns outrage that a criminal commits a crime and then wants to prop the door open to let more in.

In a statement, Haley huffed and puffed about what the illegal alien, Leonardo Andujar Sanchez, did. He was arrested at a Quality Inn in the Boston suburb of Revere, which the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has taken over to house illegal aliens. Sanchez, 28, is facing firearms and drug trafficking charges.

โ€œItโ€™s outrageous that this individual took advantage of our shelter system to engage in criminal activity.โ€

Following the incident, the furious governor mandated an inspection of all state shelters.

โ€œIโ€™ve ordered an inspection of all shelter units, beginning with the Revere site, and a full review of our intake processes to determine any additional steps that we can take to prevent criminal activity in shelters.โ€

Healey followed that up with an absolutely ludicrous statement.

โ€œThis further underscores our broken federal immigration system and the urgent need for Congress and the White House to act on a border security bill to prevent criminals from entering our communities. The people of Massachusetts should not continue to have to deal with the impacts of federal inaction.โ€

See what I mean? Yes, No. Yes, No. Yes, No. She wants the administration to do something but then refuses to go along and help Trump.

For his part, Sanchez entered the US illegally last year and obtained an ID from the New York shelter system. He is currently being held without bond after a Chelsea District Court judge determined he was dangerous.

Healey’s recent complaints about illegal immigration sharply contrast with a statement she made in 2023, in which she said that migrants are “drawn here (to Massachusetts) because we have proudly been a beacon for those in need.”

After Donald Trump was elected in November and appointed Tom Homan as his border czar, he promised a โ€œmass deportationโ€ of illegal immigrants. In response, Healey pledged to obstruct the administration’s efforts to remove violent and criminal illegal aliens from the country.

In November, when an MSNBC host asked if the Massachusetts State Police would assist ICE, Healey firmly responded, โ€œAbsolutely not,โ€ while pledging to use โ€œevery tool in the toolboxโ€ to protect our citizens.โ€

There she goes again, โ€ฆ these people are here illegally, and they are not citizens.

โ€œI do think it is important that we all recognize that there is going to be a lot of pressure on states and state officials. I can assure you weโ€™re going to work hard to deliver, so I think the key here is that you know, every tool in the toolbox has got to be used to protect our citizens, to protect our residents, and protect our states and to hold the line on democracy and the rule of law as a basic principle.โ€

Healey seems to be violating the law by obstructing the federal government’s enforcement of immigration laws. As far as Homan is concerned, he is making it quite clear that state and local officials who intend to defy the Trump administration and obstruct efforts to apprehend and deport illegal aliens will be viewed as nothing more than speed bumps.

In an interview with Fox News Homan said:

โ€œThe president (elect) has been clear, out of the gate, we are going to focus on public safety threats and national security threats first. If they donโ€™t want to help us, then get the hell out of the way; weโ€™re going to do it.โ€

Healey is obviously trying to play both sides. She talks at times like a hardline defender of the countryโ€™s security while undermining it with all of her actions.

In the end, Iโ€™m betting that her TDS will win out and she will sell out her constituents and continue to try and protect the criminals.
