The Spectacle Podcast: Devious Government Workers Hinder Trump’s Agenda with Malicious Compliance

Following Pete Hegseth’s confirmation, Hegseth had no hesitation in ordering the Pentagon to cut DEI policies and initiatives in compliance with President Trump’s executive orders. In doing so, the United States Air Force pulled back on basic military training curricula for the Tuskegee Airmen under the guise of following Trump’s DEI orders. This later received backlash from legislators and Hegseth himself, and was later reissued in the Air Force’s basic training. Hegseth and other politicians accused this incident of malicious compliance — when one follows orders given yet does so in a way that will produce negative results.

Join hosts Melissa Mackenzie and Scott McKay on The Spectacle Podcast as they analyze the consequences of malicious compliance and how it can hinder Trump’s agenda — which the American people have voted for — from being achieved. Melissa and Scott continue the discussion of the harms of DEI and how Trump’s executive orders will continue to be enforced. Tune in to hear their discussion!
