Will Ramaswamy Step Down From DOGE?

It appears that Vivek Ramaswamy, whom Trump appointed to team up with Elon Musk to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), is believed to be ready to step down.

Politico was the first to report that Ramaswamy may leave. In November, Trump announced that the duo would lead the newly formed department that is desperately needed. At that time, Trump said this:

“I am pleased to announce that the Great Elon Musk, working in conjunction with American Patriot Vivek Ramaswamy, will lead the Department of Government Efficiency (“DOGE”). Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies – Essential to the “Save America” Movement.”

“I look forward to Elon and Vivek making changes to the Federal Bureaucracy with an eye on efficiency and, at the same time, making life better for all Americans. Importantly, we will drive out the massive waste and fraud which exists throughout our annual $6.5 Trillion Dollars of Government Spending. They will work together to liberate our Economy and make the US Government accountable to “WE THE PEOPLE.” Their work will conclude no later than July 4, 2026. A smaller Government, with more efficiency and less bureaucracy, will be the perfect gift to America on the 250th Anniversary of The Declaration of Independence. I am confident they will succeed!”

At first, it was believed Ramaswamy was interested in filling the Senate seat vacated by JD Vance, but that has been dismissed amid talk that friction between Ramaswamy and the task force’s internal workings is the real reason. Musk’s inner circle has grown increasingly frustrated with Ramaswamy’s alleged lack of hands-on involvement.

“Vivek has worn out his welcome,” a source close to Trump revealed.

A report by CBS explained:

According to sources familiar with the internal dynamics, people close to Musk have privately criticized Ramaswamy for weeks due to his lack of involvement in essential tasks. Tension has been between the incoming DOGE staff and Ramaswamy, who has been subtly urged to leave.

Fortunately, President Trump, unlike the puppet leaving his sham place in American history, is resilient. If Vivek does move on, his replacement will most assuredly step in and fill the role with Musk even more thoroughly, and the oversight that is drastically needed to correct government waste will take place.

The Republican bench is deep, so replacing Vivek with another worthy candidate will pass smoothly. For Trump, this is a speed bump on his way to Making America Great Again!

It’s a beautiful day for our country. Doge, with or without Vivek, will survive, and like our President always says, God Bless You, and God Bless America!
