(The Spectacle Podcast) Code Pink Girls Gone Wild: Destination Commie Cuba

While Cubans continue to struggle without power, the Leftist organization Code Pink took a trip to provide โ€œhumanitarian aidโ€ to stand in solidarity with the people to go against the Trump administration. Code Pinkโ€™s โ€œhumanitarian aidโ€ took the form of music festivals and an art mural, while they stayed at a five-star hotel that was one of the few places in Cuba with power.

The Spectacle Podcastย hosts Melissa Mackenzie and Scott McKay discuss the poor optics of Code Pinkโ€™s virtue signaling amidst Cubaโ€™s country-wide blackout. They accuse the organization of trying to leverage the Cuban peopleโ€™s struggles for their political benefit โ€” a common motivator for left-wing activists. Scott and Melissa express their frustrations with the hypocrisy of Leftist activists and bring up Code Pinkโ€™s potential relationship with China from Shanghai tech entrepreneur Neville Roy Singham, who is the husband of Jodie Evans, Code Pinkโ€™s co-founder. Tune in to hear their discussion!ย
