To Allow A Student To Move In With A Perverted Teacher, High School Files Paperwork Declaring Her Homeless
Columbine High School, located in Littleton, Colorado, is one of the country’s most recognized high school names. Sadly, it’s for tragic reasons. On April 20, 1999, Seniors Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold murdered twelve students and one teacher in a planned shooting attack. The murderous duo wounded twenty-one others before turning the guns on themselves.
It is still considered one of the most infamous massacres in the U.S. for inspiring other school shootings and bombings; the word “Columbine” has since become a byword for modern school shootings. As of 2025, Columbine is still the deadliest school shooting in Colorado, the deadliest high school shooting in the United States west of the Mississippi River, and one of the deadliest mass shootings in the U.S.
On a personal note, two of our grandchildren attended Columbine years later; one still attends there. So, when I learned what took place there under the shadow of woke leftist perversion, it was upsetting.
The school stood by and allowed a female teacher to groom a 17-year-old female student and then clandestinely facilitated the student to file federal paperwork declaring her homeless so she could then move in with the perverted teacher. All of this was knowingly hidden from the girl’s parents.
According to CBS Colorado, the perpetrator was the former Social Studies Teacher, Leann Kearney. The student, who isn’t identified, was allegedly involved in a relationship with Kearney, and even though she was knowingly living with her parents at the time, school officials assisted her in filing the paperwork to declare her homeless.
Her mother became aware of the situation when she discovered the paperwork allowing her daughter to be declared homeless while cleaning her room. She also found a letter revealing that her daughter kissed her teacher, which prompted her to find thousands of calls and text messages exchanged between the two.
A family friend, Heather McCormick, explained the sordid situation to protect the mother’s identity.
“I think it’s really scary that we can take teenagers, or children of any age, and say whatever you say is true, and we’re not going to investigate it. We’re going to take big steps to declare you homeless without notifying the family.”
The Jefferson County School District determined the girl did not meet the criteria for homelessness. Yet, school officials previously helped the girl fill out the form, and Principal Scott Christy was aware the student was planning to file the paperwork.
According to CBS Colorado, Christy hid the information from the parents, and an investigation determined that the staff did not follow proper procedures.
McCormick lamented:
“Not a single person stood up and said, ‘something doesn’t seem right’ and reached out to the parents.”
Even when the student’s mother took the information she found and presented it to Christy, He blew her off and dismissed the information by using the sickening excuse that:
“Ms. Kearney takes an interest in helping kids navigate their sexuality.”
CBS Colorado reported that, due to constant pressure from the girl’s mother, Kearney eventually quit two years after the situation came to light and eventually lost her teaching license. Still, the ending isn’t a happy one yet. The student did move in with Kearney, and when she turned eighteen, she left the state with her.
There is a glimmer of hope, though. The mother is in contact with her daughter, and she hopes she can convince her to come home.
This is the liberal version of a modern-day horror story. For a school system to condone a teacher “taking an interest in helping kids navigate their sexuality” is beyond repulsive and should be considered criminal. This student was a minor, and when confronted with proof of a relationship with the teacher, the principal defended the teacher’s actions.
Then, it went further. The school aided and abetted both the student and the teacher in falsifying federal paperwork. I’m no lawyer, but everyone involved with this criminal malfeasance needs to be fired, prosecuted, and jailed. Kearney losing her license should be the least of her problems.
Scott Christy is still listed as the principal of “Deception High,” How is that even possible?
