Poll: Most voters support Trump’s deportation efforts
A large majority of voters support President Donald Trump’s efforts to deport foreign nationals in the U.S. illegally.
The poll from Napolitan News Service found that 65% of those surveyed support the effort, with 39% saying they strongly favor deportation and an additional 26% saying they somewhat favor the efforts.
Just 29% say they oppose deportation, with 15% somewhat opposed and 14% strongly opposed. Six percent said they were unsure.
When asked if the Trump administration has gone too far in deporting illegal immigrants or not far enough, 35% said not far enough, 30% said too far, 25% said about right and 9% were unsure.
This survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by pollster Scott Rasmussen from Feb. 27-28 and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percentage points.
