The Hypocritical Left Remains Mysteriously Quiet about Romania
George H.W. Bush famously stated before the first Gulf War that principles can’t be compromised. Any leader can claim the their values are important, but the test is when adversity comes and these principles have to survive the test of time. The left has done nothing but lie and gaslight about President Trump since he came down the escalator to announce his run for the White House. The Democrats have shown repeatedly by prosecuting and impeaching Trump that these individuals only believe in Democracy when the process produces results these radicals agree with.
Without question, the biggest lie that the Democrats have told about Trump and MAGA is that this political movement is a threat to Democracy. Indeed, the Biden Administration’s weaponization of the Justice Department against Trump and conservatives was the very threat to Democracy that the former President’s corrupt regime tried to paint the MAGA movement as. The left-wing leaders who viewed Trump as an existential threat gave up on Democracy after 2016, and these individuals relentlessly pursued the current President with the corrupt Mueller investigation, multiple attempted impeachments, and even coordinated fraudulent prosecutions as well.
This is why the deafening silence of left-wing leaders in the US and Europe, as well as in the media, over the current situation in Romania, is important. Calin Georgescu finished first in the country’s elections in December, but a Romanian court has voided those elections based on the pathetic claim that Russia used TikTok accounts to promote the right-wing populist. Romania’s central election bureau has banned the leader from running in May’s reelection as well. Georgescu has been described as pro-Russian and a far right-wing leader, but he is a populist who doesn’t support Ukraine, these opinions are not fact-based. The reality is that the European establishment has clearly put pressure on Romania to void the election results so the EU can maintain a united front in the continent’s continued support of Zelenskyy.
The fact that Europe, the Democrats, and the media, are mysteriously quiet about these clear and disgusting violations of the Democratic process in Romania, shows the hypocrisy of those who claim they believe in free elections once again. Most left-wing leaders believe in the rule by a political class of so-called elites, many of these individuals have little to no respect for the people and their political will. The reality is that what Romania is doing is a direct and disturbing violation of the most basic and important Democratic principles, and those leaders who are quiet are complicit in what is happening. While Trump, Musk, and other mostly right-wing leaders have spoke out against this egregious violation of Democracy, most Democrats and the left, as well as the media, remain mysteriously quiet.
Trump’s movement has the potential to inspire right-wing and populist political efforts across the globe, as was seen recently in Germany, and those who would only support Democracy when the results are in their favor do not support free elections at all. The fact that many left-wing leaders in both the US and Europe aren’t willing to condemn these obvious violations of core Democratic principles, should concern citizens everywhere. The Biden regime engaged in censorship and the prosecution of the past administration’s political opponents. Obama also spied on Trump’s campaign. The fact that left-wing leaders have shown repeatedly that these individuals do not believe in Democracy raises the stakes even more for future elections.
