Mike Pence Proves Yet Again He Was Never Really One Of Us
Every time a Republican sides with Democrats or does something to inflame his or her voters I joke that it’s just a matter of time before they get a Profile in Courage Award…as Mike Pence just did.
Sure enough, as I predicted to friends and relatives years ago, staff at the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation announced late last week that they will award this year’s award to Mike Pence, our former vice president.
According to a press release, Mike Pence “put his life and career on the line to ensure the constitutional transfer of presidential power on January 6, 2021.”

In truth, Pence refused to send the election results back to the states, as was his constitutional right and privilege. This, following an election, the outcome of which seemed highly suspicious, given, in certain battleground states, evidence of voter fraud through the U.S. mail.
But the Kennedys see the matter differently.
Pence, of course, will not refuse the award.
“I am deeply humbled and honored to be the recipient of the Kennedy Profile in Courage Award,” Pence said in a statement.
“I have been inspired by the life and words of President John F. Kennedy since my youth and am honored to join the company of so many distinguished Americans who have received this recognition in the past.”

As I wrote last year, what few Republicans have won the award only did so because they either compromised with Democrats or caved to Democrats on any given issue. They include former President George H.W. Bush, who, in 1990, reversed his “No new taxes” pledge to please Democrats. Another Profile in Courage winner was (thankfully former) U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney, who voted to impeach President Trump during his first term.
Former U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney, a Republican from Wyoming, won the award, quite frankly….for being a Never-Trumper.
I can find no examples of the Kennedy family bestowing a Profile in Courage award on any Democrats for either compromising with Republicans and/or caving to Republicans.
A Profile in Courage award supposedly honors courage or integrity. Speaking of Kennedys, I think Robert Kennedy Jr. makes an ideal candidate for the award. Fat chance of that. Obviously, the award only honors and celebrates liberal and progressive ideals.
A true America-First conservative would have refused this award. Pence didn’t.
A true America-First conservative would have sent the results of the 2020 election back to the states. There’s no guarantee that it would have stopped Joe Biden from becoming president, but it might have. And hard-working middle-class folks could have been spared the effects of Biden’s moronic policies that caused inflation and made life miserable for so many middle-class people.
Pence was never really one of us, and Trump was wrong to make him his vice president.
To hell with him.
