Protest Or Vacation? Self-Righteous Dems Stay At Luxury Resort

This is so typical of liberal Democrats. They want everyone to believe that they are driven by ethics when, in reality, they probably can’t even spell the word. Recently, the party of bad ideas decided to take up the torch of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant, purported MS-13 gang member, and wife-beater, although his wife dropped those charges.

The irony about this case is nauseating. We have had literally millions of illegal aliens enter this country, many of whom committed horrific crimes, and not once did any Democrat make such a profound issue out of the innocent victims who were attacked by the illegals. Where was their outrage then? This is nothing more than a disgusting display of misplaced loyalty for a criminal who should not be in this country, Period.

First, it was Senator Chris Van Hollen, a Democrat from Maryland, who made a fool of himself by flying to El Salvador in a supposed protest of Garcia’s deportation. The fact that Van Hollen would embarrass himself with such an outward display of support for a criminal is reminiscent of the glorification of George Floyd, a known felon and career criminal involved in violent armed robberies and hard drug use.

In search of their fifteen minutes of fame, four Democratic Representatives—Maxwell Frost of Florida, Robert Garcia of California, Maxine Dexter of Oregon, and Yassamin Ansari of Arizona—traveled to San Salvador on April 21 to petition for Garcia’s release.

The Daily Caller reports that, according to a source familiar with the members’ accommodations, while the prima donnas were there, they stayed at the Hilton San Salvador, a luxury hotel set against the scenic backdrop of the capital’s volcano.

The San Salvador hotel offers rooms with scenic views and an outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy margaritas and local culinary delights, including made-to-order pupusas. According to Hotels.com, the hotel is a “tranquil retreat” for those seeking comfort and convenience. Google rates this property as a five-star hotel.

House Republicans sharply criticized four Democrats for taking a vacation in a tropical location during a congressional recess, a period intended for lawmakers to spend time in their districts.

National Republican Congressional Committee spokesperson Ben Petersen told the Daily Caller:

“House Democrats booked their tropical vacation to El Salvador in the lap of luxury, while the American people suffer the consequences of the Biden Border Crisis, importing illegal immigrant crime and fentanyl, these Democrats demonstrated again they are completely out of touch with voters.”

The Democrats tried to hide their fancy accommodations whenever they posted on social media. Ansari posted a video taken in her hotel room that strategically only showed a blank wall and some curtains. However, their message was pure high-brow Democrat. On the liberal platform, Bluesky, Dexter wrote:

“I am in El Salvador because I will not stand by while our country is thrown into a constitutional crisis. This is a moment to act. I will not rest until due process is upheld for all.”

Right, even though she was relaxing while posting her obnoxious post.

It became apparent that “constitutional crisis” was a new Democratic “buzzword.”

Garcia told CBS News: “This is on its way to a major constitutional crisis. Democrats have to continue to show up and bring attention to this issue.”

“I’m currently in El Salvador representing the people of Orlando, Florida,” Frost said in a video he posted to Instagram that was filmed at the hotel. “As members of Congress, we need to come here and use our privilege to advocate at the highest levels to ensure that Kilmar is brought back home.”

On April 21, the four Democrats held a press conference at the property’s outdoor wedding venue, accompanied by Garcia’s lawyer. A report from Migrant Insider described the briefing as chaotic.

One reporter noted that the outdoor location with views of the city’s volcano was chosen for its appealing backdrop. Another suggested that the Democratic lawmakers were campaigning for their constituents back home.

The lawmakers ultimately left El Salvador without arranging a meeting with the notorious MS-13 gang member. A third reporter informed Migrant Insider that the lawmakers’ trip to the capital city was “pointless.”

James Comer, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, denied Democrats’ request to send an official congressional delegation to El Salvador, which taxpayer dollars would have funded.

Comer sent a letter to Frost and Garcia on April 18, both members of the Oversight Committee.

“It is absurd that you both displayed active hostility for over two years toward the Committee’s oversight of the Biden Border Crisis and the consequences of millions of illegal aliens entering the country, yet now, you are seeking travel at Committee expense to meet with foreign gang members. If you also wish to meet with him, you can spend your own money.”

A spokesperson for Ansari informed the Daily Caller that the Arizona congresswoman “self-funded” her trip to El Salvador. Representatives for Dexter and Garcia previously stated that they also financed their own travel there.

However, a spokesperson for Frost did not respond to the Daily Caller’s multiple requests for comment regarding how the Florida Democrat funded the trip.

Remember, Garcia has been accused of participating in human trafficking and having affiliations with the MS-13 gang. Trump’s administration has argued that it cannot facilitate the alleged gang member’s return to the United States, despite a Supreme Court ruling, because he falls under the jurisdiction of El Salvador.

Despite the accusations against Garcia related to his criminal activity, Frost indicated that more Democrats are likely to visit El Salvador to advocate for his release.

“Here’s the good news, we won’t be the last,” Frost said in the Instagram Reel. “We won’t be the last members of Congress here. We gotta keep the pressure up.”

Keep the pressure up on whom and for what purpose? Garcia is a criminal, and the only point these so-called “elected officials” are proving is that they shouldn’t have been elected in the first place.

The Democratic Party is not fit to represent the American people. This nonsense is divisive and drives stakes between groups of people over delusional right and wrong issues that only exist in the minds of liberals.

Garcia never should have been in this country, and despite the crocodile tears of phony liberals, he’s exactly where he belongs and exactly where he needs to stay.
