Trump Closes in on a Massive Trade Deal with China that Should be the Nail in the Coffin for Many of His Critics
At some point reality sets in. Denial is not a sustainable mindset, eventually, the facts will get in the way of people’s views that are not based on the truth. The Democrats and the pathetic party’s allies in the failing legacy media have done nothing but gaslight and lie about Trump and the MAGA movement for nearly a decade now. These radicals have referred to the 47th President as a racist, a disgrace, incompetent, and a failure. Leaders such as Hillary suggested wars would break out if Trump was elected and politicians such as Biden even tried to blame them for a pandemic that China was responsible for. Trump’s opponents have tried to constantly blame him for anything and everything since he became President, while, of course, not giving him credit for his many growing accomplishments.
At some point fake criticisms reach a breaking point. There are times when the truth becomes so glaring that even the most ardent opponent of an individual must admit that person has succeeded. Trump has been one of the most successful Presidents in US history. The 47th President has presided over one of the strongest economies in US history, helped negotiate the Abraham Accords and USMCA, got the Step 1 Act passed, made the US energy independent in his first term, and also secured the border. Trump’s resume is as strong as his list of accomplishments is successful. Still, while conservatives and even many independents acknowledge the President’s political and policy successes, even former political opponent Mitt Romney praised Trump recently, there is still a group a significant group of individuals in America that refuse to accept how strong his record is.
Even America’s most successful US Presidents, such as FDR, Reagan, and even going back further, Jefferson and Washington, obviously had political opponents. At some point, most of these adversaries had to accept reality. When Trump and his administration renegotiate a massive new trade deal with China, the world’s second-largest economy and a country the US have a nearly $295 billion trade deficit with, even the President’s fiercest political opponents are going to have to accept a reality these pathetic people have refused to for nearly a decade now, he is a competent and successful leader.
All signs are pointing to the US and China getting close to a massive new trade deal, with reports coming out over the weekend that both sides have made significant progress in trade talks. China faces a housing crisis and a weak economy at this moment, President Xi cannot afford a protracted trade with the US, he needs access to American markets much more than than America needs his country for cheap goods. When this trade deal is finalized, which likely will be soon, markets should skyrocket and Trump will now be able to say that he is the one who for the first time since the end of the Cold War stood up to China and won.
Both Republican and Democratic Presidents such as Bush, Obama, and Biden, did nothing while China ripped our country off for years. Trump ran to challenge the establishment on issues across the board, including on trade. If the President is able to not just successfully renegotiate a major trade deal with China, but fundamentally reshape the US’s relationship with the second most powerful country in the world, even the President’s harshest political opponents will be put in a very tough spot. There are already Democrats such as Governor Whitmer of Michigan and Senator Fetterman of Pennsylvania that have signaled a willingness to work with Trump, while others in the party like AOC and Bernie Sanders continue to repeat tired lies about Trump being a fascist. The already fragile divide in the Democratic party will likely be broken completely if Trump can finalize what should be the most important trade deal the US has negotiated in a century.
