Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Activism again Shows the Left’s Contempt For Democracy

Filing an absurd lawsuit in the courts after losing an election is the last resort of a party that can’t win at the ballot box. The cold reality is that despite the gaslighting of failed former Vice President and the Democratic party about supposedly defending Democracy, the Democrats and the left gave up on Democratic ideals after Trump won in 2016. The entire premise of the left-wing ideologies is based on the absurd precept that an intellectual elite should be making the decisions in this country, and after the 47th President defeated Hillary in 2016, today’s more radical Democratic party did everything possible to obstruct and stop Trump.

When President Trump won a landslide in the electoral college and the popular vote, the Republicans took control of both chambers of Congress and the White House. The Democrats were left with few options, and the party that fights harder for illegal immigrants than US citizens was not willing to look in the mirror and realize what is wrong with them today. The left turned to the courts. The Democratic party had already tried to overturn the 2016 election with an absurd impeachment attempt against Trump, using the courts to again try to usurp the will of the American people was not a big leap for the radical Democrats. The left sought to target activist judges appointed by Democrats and get them to issue nationwide injunctions without even bringing the kind of class-action suits that allege widespread nationwide harms. The entire strategy employed by these radical leftists was designed to circumvent the Democratic traditions of the country and rely on unelected individual judges to essentially make policy.

This is why the recent decisions by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson should concern citizens regardless of their political beliefs. Jackson has essentially sided in every case against Trump, no matter what the fact pattern is, without any even basic legal supposition. The worst example of this was recently when the liberal activist pretending to be a judge was literally the only Justice who sided against Trump’s efforts to reorganize many of the failing Departments in the executive branch. Even Justices Sotomayor and Kagan sided with Trump and agreed with the more conservative Justices on the court in this case.

Justice Barrett, who has drawn the ire of some conservatives for siding against Trump in recent cases, even called out Jackson in her recent opinions, saying that the radical left-wing Justice’s opinion had no basis in law or the Constitution. Barrett also points out that Jackson was not in favor of an imperial Presidency, but she supported that kind of power in the hands of individual judges by not opposing the abusive use of nationwide injunctions by District Court judges. While obviously justices have always incorporated judicial philosophy into their opinions, Jackson’s radical activism and partisan opinions represent a politicization of the court that has not been seen before. This is dangerous and threatens to remove one of the most important and last guardrails on the American Democratic system, public confidence in the rule of law.

The key difference between the Republican and Democratic parties right now is their belief in our Democratic traditions. While conservatives are listening to and trying to represent the American people, the left in both America and Europe is reacting to right-wing populist movements with authoritarian actions ranging from censorship to the weaponization of the judicial system. Today’s Democratic party refuses to focus on the needs of middle class Americans, the radical left-wing is more interested in staying in power than representing the country, and the Democratic traditions of the nation are seen by these elitists as an obstacle to their extreme agenda.
