Hilton Drops Woke Minneapolis Hotel

The saying “Go Woke, Go Broke” has been around long enough and has provided enough examples to validate it that you would think people and corporations would stop testing it.

Yet that didn’t stop a hotel in Minneapolis from trying to enforce its leftist ideology by canceling the reservations of DHS and immigration officials at their location.

The hotel, a Hampton Inn by Hilton in Lakeville, notified DHS by email that it was cancelling reservations made by agents ahead of the scheduled immigration enforcement deployment.

The email read in part:

“We have noticed an influx of GOV reservations made today that have been for DHS, and we are not allowing any ICE or immigration agents to stay at our property. If you are with DHS or immigration, let us know, as we will have to cancel your reservation.”

After learning of the cancellations, DHS issued a statement on X condemning the hotel.

“When officers attempted to book rooms using official government emails and rates, Hilton Hotels maliciously CANCELLED their reservations. This is UNACCEPTABLE.”

“Why is Hilton Hotels siding with murderers and rapists to deliberately undermine and impede DHS law enforcement from their mission to enforce our nation’s immigration laws?”

Minnesota has been circling the drain for several months with nothing but bad news coming out of the state. Most recently, a fraudulent daycare system run by Somali immigrants has bilked taxpayers out of as much as $9 billion, according to some estimates.

The scandal has brought approximately 2,000 federal workers, including about 1,500 ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers and hundreds of Homeland Security Investigations agents, who were deployed to the Minneapolis area on Sunday.

Upon learning of the scandal and facing backlash, Hilton contacted the independent hotel owner and then issued the following statement this morning.

“This hotel is independently owned and operated, and these actions were not reflective of Hilton values. We have been in direct contact with the hotel, and they have apologized for the actions of their team, which was not in keeping with their policies.”

“They have taken immediate action to resolve this matter and are contacting impacted guests to ensure they are accommodated. Hilton’s position is clear: Our properties are open to everyone, and we do not tolerate any form of discrimination.”

End of story, right? Not even close.

The saga took another turn when conservative influencer Nick Sortor visited the property and was told by the front desk agent that reservations under DHS or ICE were not allowed, per management, despite the operator, Everpeak Hospitality, releasing a statement to the contrary just hours earlier.

“We’re not accepting people from immigration, ICE agents, DHS onto our property … it’s just policy,” the clerk told Sortor in a video he posted on X that was viewed nearly 2 million times.

“I just talked to the owner of the building, and he didn’t say they had any changes; it’s just policy,” the Hilton franchisee told Sortor in the video.

After being double-crossed, Hilton wasted no time in cutting ties with the hotel.

The chain swiftly issued a statement, assuring that the hotel’s discriminatory policy was not aligned with its values.

In its follow-up statement announcing the severing of ties with the Hampton Inn Lakeville, the company stated that it would also investigate whether any other franchisees were enforcing similar anti-ICE policies.

“Hilton is – and has always been – a welcoming place for all.  We are also engaging with all of our franchisees to reinforce the standards we hold them to across our system to help ensure this does not happen again.”

Losing the Hilton name will definitely hurt this hotel’s business. Not only did they break with standard Hilton policy, but they also lied to the parent company about having corrected it. All of this while trying to protect immigrants who have no intention of assimilating and have literally stolen billions of taxpayer dollars.

Well done, Hilton. It’s nice to see a parent company make such a decisive move so quickly. Should you find any others as you continue your search for other woke malcontents, drop them in the same manner. Going woke is a disease that the Hilton name needs to separate from as quickly as possible.
