Now You Know What A REAL Insurrection Looks Like

Dear Sane America,

I don’t want to hear another word about January 6 being called an “insurrection.” Not because history doesn’t matter, but because what’s happening right now matters more. For the last six weeks, day after day, we’ve watched something far closer to a real insurrection unfold in real time. Not a riot that flared up and ended. Not a protest that got out of hand. But sustained, organized, deliberate resistance to federal law enforcement, encouraged, enabled, and protected by elected officials on the left. That’s the difference.

Federal ICE agents are being stalked, followed, filmed, surrounded, blocked, and interfered with while carrying out lawful arrests. Their locations are shared publicly. Their movements are tracked. Their authority is challenged not in courtrooms, but in the streets. That is not protest. That is obstruction of federal law. And it has been happening every single day.

This didn’t happen spontaneously. It was manufactured. State and city leaders in Minnesota made a conscious decision to block cooperation with ICE. Police were ordered not to assist. City and county jails refused to transfer illegal criminals, even dangerous ones…into federal custody. Those criminals were released back into communities, knowing full well ICE would have to locate them later under far more dangerous conditions.

Then, when ICE did exactly that, the mobs were ready. Because leadership didn’t just stand down, they egged it on. Federal agents were compared to Nazis. Immigration enforcement was likened to the Holocaust. Officials told people to confront officers, get in their faces, and drive them out. That rhetoric wasn’t careless. It was a signal. What followed wasn’t chaos. It was coordination. Supply drops. Organized communications. Storming churches. Breaking into hotels. Property destruction. Vehicles looted. Fires set. Federal officers assaulted. That is not civil disobedience. That is a real insurrection…a prolonged effort to nullify federal law through intimidation, obstruction, and force, with political cover from people sworn to uphold the law.

And then come the lies. We’re told cooperation happens “after conviction.” That’s false. City and county jails do not cooperate. Criminals are released. ICE is forced into public operations. Activists insert themselves to escalate the danger. The chaos is created intentionally and then blamed on enforcement.

When adults deliberately place themselves in the middle of violent confrontations with armed federal officers, when they choose obstruction over compliance, the outcomes are predictable. Those outcomes are the direct result of their choices. Accountability is not cruelty, and consequences are not oppression.

Meanwhile, leadership hides behind moral theater, dragging out Holocaust imagery to justify lawlessness, while communities descend into fear. Children are afraid to go outside. Law enforcement is treated like the enemy. And the people responsible pretend they’re defending “democracy.”

This is what an insurrection actually looks like. It looks like elected officials undermining federal law. It looks like civilians incited to obstruct officers. It looks like fugitives protected for political reasons. It looks like sustained resistance, not for a day, but for weeks.

So no, I don’t want to hear about January 6 anymore. If you want to talk about insurrection, look at what’s been happening every day for the last six weeks. Yeah. We see you. And history won’t be confused about who tried to tear the system down while pretending to save it.
