On Hunter Hess And The Anti-Patriots
As with everything else, disrespecting your nation while representing it is a problem today because it was allowed yesterday.
A simple blanket policy that anyone who disrespects their anthem, flag, or country by negative political comments or gestures is immediately dumped from the team and stripped of any medals or awards could easily have been enforced for years, and never has been.
You either represent your country with pride or you go away and let a person who can do that take your place.
It goes right back to those worthless idiots who gave the black power salute in 1968 and were made heroes for it. The IOC and the US Olympic team gave some of the right response back then and expelled them, but then let their act of black supremacism be treated as heroic. They also let the bastards keep their medals.
So many of the seeds of current moral and intellectual depravity were sown in the 1960s. That has been obvious to anyone rational for generations now, particularly regarding the sexual revolution and the similarities between selfish, spoilt, vapid and destructive hippies and contemporary communist-progressive arseholes.
Few people though are willing to admit how much the glorified Civil Rights Movement was a crock of hypocritical shit that depended quite significantly on violence and communism to achieve its radical transformation. The truth is that many of the participants were more virulent racists than the average white voter of the time, that Malcolm X was a vile terrorist scumbag, that from the very start the black rights movement and the gay rights movement were both riddled with deeply unpleasant grifters and fanatics enriching themselves in the process or determined on a much broader revolution than the one they declared. And the truth is too that many of them didn’t aim for and get equality-they aimed for and achieved special and HIGHER status than the rest of us, which has been imposed ever since.
They also set the precedent that you can consider yourself more important than your country when supposedly representing it, and can insult and demean your country on a global stage and be celebrated and rewarded for it with your disloyalty and ingratitude being described as principled and courageous.
