Skiers First To Plow Up Controversy At Olympics
It was only a matter of time before someone started voicing their opinions on topics they know little about. The odds were in favor of an American being the first to initiate this complaint fest. As expected, two American skiers, along with one who used to ski for the U.S. but now competes for Great Britain, did just that.
If you guessed that the subject was ICE, you would be correct.
First, Gus Kenworthy, a British-American freestyle skier who competed for the U.S. in 2014, but then switched to skiing for Great Britain in 2019 and will do so again this year, proved what a classy guy he is by peeing, “fu*k ICE” in the snow.
He showed off his handiwork to the world by posting it on Instagram,
The social justice bozo then instructed Americans to call their Senators and pressure them to vote against the Department of Homeland Security funding negotiations.
His “Piss Post” was captioned with this soapbox speech/template for people to use:
“Innocent people have been murdered, and enough is enough. We can’t wait around while ICE continues to operate with unchecked power in our communities. Senators still have leverage right now, and Senator [Name] must use it to demand real guardrails and accountability — including getting ICE and CBP out of our communities, ending blank-check funding for brutality, and establishing clear limits on warrantless arrests, profiling, and enforcement at sensitive locations like schools and hospitals.”
While Kenworthy was emptying his bladder, two American skiers, Chris Lillis and Hunter Hess, expressed their dissatisfaction with America and said they had mixed emotions about representing the U.S..
Lillis had this to say:
“I think that as a country we need to focus on respecting everybody’s rights and making sure that we’re treating our citizens, as well as anybody, with love and respect, and I hope that when people look at athletes competing in the Olympics they realize that that’s the America we’re trying to represent.”
Hess then added his two cents:
“It brings up mixed emotions to represent the U.S. now, I think. It’s a little hard, there’s obviously a lot going on that I’m not the biggest fan of, and I think a lot of people aren’t.”
“If it aligns with my moral values, I feel like I’m representing it, just because I’m wearing the flag doesn’t mean I represent everything that’s going on in the U.S..
Regarding Kenworthy, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) stated that he would not face punishment for his political beliefs, releasing a statement saying:
“During the Olympic Games, all participants have the opportunity to express their views as per the athlete expression guidelines. The IOC does not regulate personal social media posts.”
The IOC, like NATO, on a much smaller scale, is basically useless. No one expected them to do anything, especially since Kenworthy is a homosexual, and God forbid anyone should criticize a person from the LGBTQ community.
On the other hand, the U.S. Olympic Committee should immediately send both Lillis and Hess back to the United States. We don’t want two spoiled snowflakes bad-mouthing the country they are there to represent, and we certainly don’t need their half-hearted efforts.
As one person posted on X, “I’d rather lose with patriots than win with traitors.”
I agree 100 percent with that sentiment. Maybe next time, if there is a next time, they will show more respect for the country they live in, and keep their mouths shut concerning things they know so little about.
