Trump’s “Broken Promises,” Per The Libertarians
Addressing libertarian criticisms of Trump. The border wall, the DOGE cuts, the ‘no new wars’ claim, and the Epstein Files were all mentioned as broken Trump promises.
Here is my reply:
What happened to building the wall? Illegal crossings dropped to virtually zero because of Trump, that’s what happened. He’s protected the border TWICE, that’s what happened. You go from a flood of millions coming in to it totally stopped and you complain about THAT?
What happened to DOGE? Exposed massive waste, USAID budget ended, a lot of pork cut. Is it perfect? Did they get everything? No. Because libertarians vote against a partial success expecting total success at levels never ever achieved, and because RINOs that also defy Trump won’t vote for the level of cuts that would please you and which no Senators other than maybe two or three would vote for.
What happened to no new wars? It was no ENDLESS wars and no STUPID wars. Taking limited military action when you can seize a dictator enemy in 35 minutes or air strikes when there is a chance to topple a regime that’s been a problem for 47 years is NOT an endless war or a stupid war.
As for the Files, Trump released what exists and can be released. Critics there seem to want child porn released on the WH social media account. There are things they shouldn’t show and can’t show. Beyond that, getting prosecutions on 20 year old sex crimes is incredibly difficult. Actually look at successful conviction rates for rape generally, let alone historic claims and phoned in by anyone claims some of which are undoubtedly false. They have released a million pages of evidence and over 2,000 videos for God’s sake. If footage of the powerful raping kids existed, why the hell would they keep it, not use against Trump if he’s guilty when they were trying to destroy him, then hand it over to Trump? The idea that evidence is there and being withheld still because Trump is one of the guilty is so logically retarded it beggars belief.
You want perfection while trashing success. And trashing success puts you on the same side as people who would do a lot more of everything you claim to oppose. That’s the big problem with libertarian critics of Trump.
