What The Iranian Attack On Diego Garcia Conclusively Proved
The missile attack on Diego Garcia proves that Iranian missiles could almost certainly target London.
What it also proves is that the argument that this conflict is based on a lie, like Iraq, is bullshit.
Saddam wasn’t capable of hitting London. Iraqi WMDs didn’t exist.
It’s confirmed fact that Iran had enriched uranium sufficient for 10-11 nuclear bombs.
Diego Garcia is 3,800 miles away from Iran. London is 4,000 miles.
Iran has actually shown that Iran is a threat. It’s also shown that comparisons with Iraq are false.
The nuke programme was real. The missile delivery capacity to reach the UK is real.
And UK terroritory has been attacked.
What all this would tell a sane person is that the Iranian leadership must be knocked out and all their missile capability destroyed as quickly as possible. Arguments that they pose no threat have been proven wrong, by the Iranian missile attack on Diego Garcia.
Keir Starmer has decided that there will be no UK response to the attack on Diego Garcia. You can attack the UK and the UK won’t respond. You can show you can hit the UK mainland just as easily and the UK won’t respond.
Fortunately the Iranians may be reluctant to strike London, knowing it’s a Muslim ally they already control.
By the by, the UK has no equivalent of the Iron Dome. Plans to create a ballistic missile defence system for the UK were dismissed as impractical and too expensive by Tony Blair’s government and have not been revisited since.
