A Still Bitter Roseann Blasts TV Son Over Naïve Ignorance About Eight-Year-Old Comment
Some wounds leave scars; some wounds never completely heal, and some wounds will always be gaping and bloody. When ABC canceled Roseanne in 2018, it created a wound that, for Roseanne Barr, is either one of the latter two.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always thought that Roseanne was a little on the crude side, but I wasn’t sure how much of it was just an act for her character on the show or if that was her true nature. After all, Carroll O’Connor played the biggest and funniest bigot on TV as Archie Bunker, but he was nothing like that in real life.
Back in 2018, Barr sent out this tweet concerning Valerie Jarrett:
By today’s standard of depravity, this is on the mild side. It’s sad but true that the left has committed much more egregious sins verbally and physically than this. Two incidents that come to mind are Karmello Anthony, a 19-year-old black teenager/adult who stabbed 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, a white teenager, in the chest, killing him instantly over a small disagreement at a track meet. This act took an innocent life, and the left’s response was to send hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the murderer’s defense and to disparage Metcalf, the victim, at every turn.
Lindsay Clancy strangled her three children with exercise bands, and the lunatics on the left sent her over a million dollars and protested inside and outside of the courthouse every day of the trial.
Barr’s tweet seems pale in comparison, and these are just two recent incidents; there are many, many others. Remember, “Sticks and Stones May Break Your Bones, but Words Will Never Hurt You.” Apparently, the left can justify murder, but criticizing Jarrett was unacceptable.
Jarrett served as Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs during the Obama administration. She held this position from 2009 to 2017. Barr’s tweet was in May of 2018, so Jarrett had already left her position.
Despite her apologizing repeatedly for the joke, ABC fired her and permanently canceled “Roseanne.” That firing stigmatized Barr, and it obviously is still a touchy subject for her.
Michael Fishman played her son on the program, and he has grown into quite the obnoxious snob. In a recent Instagram post, Fishman said that “Roseanne” had been “rightfully canceled” because of Barr’s nothingburger of a tweet.
Fishman’s comment came after someone rightfully supported Barr in a comment on his Instagram. The commenter wrote that the show “got canceled because Roseanne made the usual jokes a comedian makes, but America decided to backstab Roseanne.”
“At the time, the LGBTQ and woke crap took over and started destroying anything it could. Roseanne was one of the people that all of a sudden got flack for remaining to be a edgy comedian. Funny thing is, even if she was racist, she had already said more egregious jokes, and nobody batted an eye before.”
Pointing out that reality triggered Fishman’s delicate sensibilities, he responded with this comment.
“I guess the world failed to learn the lesson, so I’m going to point out — we are perpetuating a lie, and people are using a political smoke screen to justify the indefensible. Sadly, in this case, there was no joke. And the show was rightfully canceled.”
It’s laughable how self-righteous and “All-knowing” Fishman sees himself. He’s nothing more than another smug leftist who thinks his crap doesn’t stink.
His haughty response then triggered Barr to respond, and she held nothing back. She appeared this week on the “Can’t Be Censored” podcast, hosted by former broadcast journalists Travis Dhanraj and Karman Wong, and blasted the airhead out of the water.
“He f–king doesn’t even know what I f–king said, even though I’ve explained it 10,000 times for nine years on the internet. He hasn’t even taken the time to listen to what I say because he is a bigot, and he’s a brainwashed bigot.”
“I told him, let me explain this, Michael: Go and f–k yourself and stay f–ked ‘till the day you die. Don’t put my name in your f–king mouth. Shut the f–k up.”
“You are an ignoramus and a bigot, and you have no idea what I said because it contradicts the Democratic Party platform that you’ve had shoved down your throat and up your ass. So just f–k you. You have no geopolitical context whatsoever to discuss what I said.”
I’m glad that Barr responded so vehemently to Fishman’s wishy-washy, phony goody-two-shoes comments. He was a punk then, and nothing has changed. Barr’s show was not “rightfully canceled.” This was an overreaction by leftists,
and his continued justification is blatant ignorance.
Liberal Democrats are infuriating with their prejudices. They justify and support murderers and try to agitate conservatives over even the smallest issues. Eight years after a simple tweet, Fishman still has gained no insight into what really happened.
Barr made herself perfectly clear. She held nothing back, and neither should we. The time for being congenial has passed. The left’s value system is a fallacy, and they need to be reminded of that fact LOUDLY and OFTEN!
