High School Sports Board Reserves Two Seats For “Non-Whites”

What don’t these Racists understand?

A high school in Indiana is being sued by the state Attorney General because of its racist tactics to reserve two seats on its board for “qualified non-white applicants.”

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita has filed a lawsuit against the Indiana High School Athletic Association to challenge a bylaw that reserves two of the 19 board seats for what the association terms “qualified minorities.”

The bylaws define that phrase as “an individual other than a white male or female.”

And… Nominating petitions for these positions must include verification of the candidate’s race.

When he announced the lawsuit, Rokita said:

“Hoosier students should not be governed by a sports association that picks its leaders based on race.”

“IHSAA’s quota tells kids that skin color, rather than merit, is an appropriate way to judge people. That lesson has no place in Indiana’s education system, and, regardless, the law does not permit it. The IHSAA exists to build character. A racial litmus test for choosing leadership on the IHSAA’s board does the opposite, and after months of delay, the Association left us no choice but to take legal action.”

The lawsuit filed in Marion County Superior Court seeks a permanent injunction to remove the racial seats from the bylaws, prohibit any future race-based allocation of board seats, and declare that the quota violates Indiana law.

In addition, the complaint calls it an “overt racial classification” and an “express racial classification” that is “an abuse of authority conferred by law, a waste of corporate assets, and incompatible with the public purpose for which IHSAA was organized.”

White men and white women are closed out of those two seats “solely because of race.”

It’s obvious that the IHSAA believes in its race-over-merit stance. Despite knowing it’s racist, they push it; they will not abandon “party lines,” even knowing they are the racists, projecting racism on everyone else.

In April, Rokita’s office first advised the association to eliminate the quota.

The IHSAA, lied and stalled saying it disagreed and would look at bylaw changes in May 2027.

After numerous letters and an executive committee meeting on August 25 that led to no changes, the state filed a lawsuit.

This was not the first notification. Last year, the Pacific Legal Foundation and the Equal Protection Project wrote the association, demanding that the race and sex screens come out.

In an interview with Fox News, William A. Jacobson of the Equal Protection Project said:

“We hope that IHSAA will do the right thing and voluntarily remedy the discriminatory bylaws provisions, but if it does not, all legal options are on the table.”

The smug and arrogant IHSAA responded that it:

“Disagrees with any suggestion that our bylaws violate federal and state civil rights laws or in any way constitute an abuse of its nonprofit status.”

“To the contrary, the IHSAA is committed to serving all student-athletes and member schools throughout Indiana. Consistent with that mission, we value broad representation and diverse perspectives among those who help guide and support interscholastic athletics across the state.”

Typical of all leftist societal con jobs, their excuse sounds legitimate. Their “broad representation and diverse perspectives” are done illegally and are indefensibly racist.

Should we require every NBA team to be half white? Every NFL team?

Diversity and merit cannot be weighed on the same scale. They are not the same, and any attempt to do so will always be racist. Equality of opportunity will never guarantee equality of the final outcome, and it shouldn’t.

One has nothing to do with the other.
