The Whining NFL Gets A Dose Of Its Own Medicine From DHS
I’ve written many times about how the NFL has spent most of the last decade-plus subtly pushing its woke agenda on its most dedicated fans and alienating many of them.
This includes their insistence on placing questionable social justice messages in the end zones during every game and scheduling some of their most significant games on paywalled platforms. They have also played more and more games outside the United States, stripping hometown fans of a home game, and they plan to do much more, even placing a permanent team in Europe.
At last year’s Super Bowl, they deliberately chose the offensive and extremely ignorant woke fool who goes by the name of Bad Bunny to perform as the halftime entertainment. They made that choice even though they knew he violated the values of most of their fans.
One Republican senator called it “the woke bowl,” and only 16 percent of Republicans approved of the pick. Leading up to the game, the league even allowed MoveOn to petition its headquarters, demanding it oppose Trump’s immigration enforcement heading into the big game.
The league points to the halftime viewing numbers, claiming that it was the fourth most-watched halftime in its history, but those numbers are wildly deceiving. Many of the people who tuned in to watch the show are the radicals who hate everything about American values. Many did it as some sort of narcissistic protest. The league bowed to the woke leftists while once again giving the finger to its true fans.
Now the league’s TDS is showing again, but this time the DHS turned the woke NFLโs guns back onto itself. With a migrant caravan of more than 600 slow learners from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Haiti resuming its march north through Mexico toward the United States, the DHS answered the belligerence with a message that has NFL roots.
They released a 39-second highlight reel of Hall of Fame safety Brian Dawkins, a nine-time Pro Bowler and Philadelphia Eagles legend, nicknamed “Weapon X.” The video is set to Korn’s song “Blind” and is captioned “Our time has come.”
I love that the DHS is giving the NFL the finger; I just wish they’d used a Pittsburgh Steelers legend like Jack Lambert, Joe Greene, Mel Blount, or Donnie Shell, to name a few. All were ferocious hitters, in an era where being ferocious was mandatory for Great defenses.
As it is, the video garnered eight million views, but if they had used the Steelers’ greats, it would have been at least four times that amount.
Naturally, “the league has requested the DHS take down the video,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy reported.
Even Dawkins released a video statement, clarifying he never gave permission for his name, image, or likeness to be used.
“Take a deep breath,” he said. “Y’all be blessed.”
Hereโs the best part: the DHS showed the NFL the same amount of respect they have shown their truest and oldest fans; they simply told them โNO.โ The way they did it, though, was classic; they posted a picture of Bugs Bunny saying the word โNOโ through โBad Bunny lips.โ

Itโs unfortunate, but President Trumpโs administration has had to spend an inordinate amount of time undoing the disastrous Biden administration’s catastrophes. The number one priority is to secure the border that Biden left open to the dregs of the world: rapists, murderers, thieves, etc.
White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis made the administration’s position crystal clear:
“The message to the caravan is you will not be allowed into our country. Our border is closed to lawbreakers. President Trump delivered the most secure border in history and has had 16 months of zero releases at the border.”
“Any illegal aliens who pay cartels to smuggle them into the United States should expect the same outcome: arrest, prosecution where appropriate, and immediate deportation.”
As Yucon Cornelious said, The Irony here is as thick as peanut butter or pea soup, depending on your food preference. The NFL spent years transforming player activism into a brand asset, including BLM end zones, social justice helmet decals, and Kaepernick tributes at midfield.
They had no objection to politics on their platform when it was one-sided against American values. However, now that DHS borrowed one of its own to clarify that the border is closed, the league suddenly wants to claim it has values.
The NFL appears to be Teflon, but it isnโt, and a tipping point is coming. We all love football, but not when you canโt watch a game without knowing the league is using and abusing its fans instead of accommodating them.
