Straight-Shooting Journalist Fires Away at “Sellout” LeBron

LeBron James is perhaps the least liked professional athlete on the planet, one that has had a leading hand in the tanking of the NBA’s popularity. Jason Whitlock, a fellow Black American and journalist with an extremely high moral point of view on issues, was fearless last week in saying what so many hard working Americans are wanting to scream about LeBron and the other elites trying to force us into thinking a certain way.

On Steve Bannon’s War Room, the host asked about why Whitlock went so hard at LeBron, calling it a “spicy” article, in quite the understatement. Here is an excerpt from The Blaze:

LeBron is a political soldier for the Democratic Party. His bigotry is rooted in lust for political power. Democrats have painted their political opponents as bigots. Itโ€™s LeBronโ€™s job to promote that narrative. He pounces on every high-profile opportunity, and heโ€™s not above going the Jussie Smollett route and creating faux hate crime.

He analogized himself to Mamie Till at the behest of his political puppet masters. He will never address the family dysfunction and chaos that leads far too many black boys and men to settle conflict with deadly violence. The DNC โ€“ the Dead Negroes Confederacy โ€“ loves dead negroes. The DNC forbids its constituents to publicly discuss the pervasive violence that plagues black communities.

Spicy, indeed. Here’s the real heat, though: Whitlock went even more scorched Earth on “King James” in his response to Bannon’s question:

“I intended it to be spicy. I combined a lot of thoughts and ideas I’ve been sharing for a long time…. LeBron James is a soldier…there to promote the narrative that America is an irredeemably racist place….

“There’s no bigger sellout in the history of sports than LeBron James. He’s sold out black people. He’s sold out working class black people. LeBron James is a global elitist. He’s in bed with Phil Knight and Nike, [who] are the most powerful force in all of sports. People don’t fully grasp it, but Nike’s a $50 billion a year corporation…. They determine sports culture. They’re in bed and seeking a better relationship with China. That’s why they spread, with their athletes like LeBron, so much anti-American propaganda and sentiment. And LeBron James is on board with that.

“He’s not smart enough to understand that he’s sold out working class black people because he was blessed with so much athletic talent. Yes, he was born into poverty, but once that athletic talent was discovered by about eight, nine, or ten, he started living in the fantasy world and the very privileged world of a great athlete, and the people realized that if we could just get him through high school and into the NBA, there’s a pot of gold waiting for all of us…. So for the last 28 to 30 years of his life, he’s been nothing but a privileged athlete, disconnected from the realities of working class Americans, and black Americans in particular.

“He completely sold us out. If he really was about working class values, he wouldn’t be so hostile to President Trump…. His policies, his programs, what he was actually about–the America First agenda–that serves working class people, black, white, whomever….

“LeBron’s a sellout.”

There is much more, so much more, in this video (which begins in earnest at the 1:30 mark), that may very well have working class American patriots saying yes yes yes to Whitlock’s perspective. It is a shame that so many of us must experience such confirmation bias only when it is a black person who says it instead of just a person in general, but it can nonetheless confirm the voice inside us wanting to scream such obvious truths from the rooftops. And that voice is a voice of revival, shouting that we are sick of the globalist elites–no matter if they are a Klaus Schwab, a Dan Crenshaw, a Hillary Clinton, or a LeBron James–dictating to us what truth should be and how to live our lives. This is why we at RVIVR are working to expose these enemies to the Republic–so our readers can see our voice and feel that they can have one of their own.

On The Blaze‘s website, the introduction to Whitlock’s podcast is this:

“Celebrated journalist Jason Whitlock and his cast of “Fearless Soldiers” protect the realm of common sense and challenge the groupthink mandated by elites. Listen Monday through Friday for the most fearless conversation at the crossroads of culture, faith, sports, and comedy.”

Journalist Jason Whitlock is definitely a revivalist.

I like the Whitlocks of the world because not only do they speak unadulterated truth, they also connect the dots between different strata in life. It isn’t just politics, or just sports, or just faith with Whitlock. For him, everything connects, and it is this type of higher level critical thinking, and the concept of good vs. evil, that we must spread to each other and to the next generation. Doing so will increase even more the number of Americans tuning out Disney-ESPN and the NBA in general. Turn them all off. Reject the groupthink. The war for this nation’s soul may very well depend on it.

May everyone named directly or referenced indirectly ask forgiveness and do penance for their sins against America and God. I fight this information war in the spirit of justice and love for the innocent, but I have been reminded of the need for mercy and prayers for our enemies. I am a sinner in need of redemption as well after all, for my sins are many. In the words of Jesus Christ himself, Lord forgive us all, for we know not what we do.
