Let’s Talk Ukraine and Some Sweet Little Lies

Originally published in The Hayride on June 9, 2022, my first article concerning Ukraine. With all the work RVIVR is putting out concerning Ukraine, we wanted to move it here for convenience of user navigation.

The United States government and mainstream corporate media have been telling sweet little lies about what is actually going on in Ukraine. And this should come as absolutely zero surprise to anyone.

As you read this article, keep in mind that these are the same politicians who have been lying to us for years about Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, and so many others. It is the same politicians who removed the standing Ukrainian government in 2014 in what is called a color revolution and replaced it with a puppet government. It is an illusion of choice to think that Clinton is any different from Bush is any different from Obama is any different from Biden. It is an illusion to think that any of these wars going on for all of these years–except for 2017-2020–have anything to do with anything other than lining the pockets and refining the power of a cesspool of Deep State globalists.

Even Republican and Democrat is an illusion of choice. One man elected to the presidency in 2016 and robbed of a second term in 2020 proved that.

He outted them all.

He could not be bought. He is a man they all hated and continue to hate because he continues to work to topple their kingdom. Remember what he said at the NRA event in Houston last weekend. This really is the battle between good and evil.

Think of all of that as you read today–because I believe Ukraine is that important.

Remember, I periodically mention it–everything connects. Ask yourself, if some of the worst politicians and players in the world–politicians and players you cannot stand and do not trust–in one deafening cry call for action to bring down Vladimir Putin, what does that mean? They are your enemy, the worst kind, and you would take that to the grave with you. Why would they go after Putin so hard and defend Ukraine? And by extension, why would you think Ukraine is some paradise immersed in eternal innocence if this is the place these swamp creatures–your enemies–want to defend?

Is Vladimir Putin necessarily the enemy you should be most concerned about if your worst of enemies is trying to turn the world against him?

Who created the bogeyman?

I will not praise Russia or put Putin on a pedestal today. I will not say Russia doesn’t push its own propaganda. Nor will I insinuate that everyday Ukrainians are to blame (I would hope that one goes without saying). Know that. But so much of this article will be meant to get us asking these questions. There are enemies all over the information battlefield. One need only think about World War II and the conundrum the U.S. faced in siding with Germany or the Soviet Union, when both countries were pitted against each other but were certainly not our elbow-rubbing pals either.

I am behind in writing this article, but as I have made a habit, I’ve waited for the right opportunity. It seems that opportunity is not graciously swimming my way, though, since with every day I research what is really going on in Ukraine, I find it gets deeper and, dare I say, more diabolical.

So much about this article will be necessarily incomplete, perhaps even lacking in context. I cannot possibly write about everything like the WHO, the WEF, Klaus Schwab, George Soros, the Clintons, the Bidens, Obama, Fauci, Bill Gates, color revolutions, the NATO/U.S. encroachment on Russia’s western border, biolabs, child trafficking, or any of the dozens of other mind-bending, tangled tentacles my swim down into the cesspool is dredging up.

Remember Hunter Biden and the laptop from hell? You believed everything about that when others called you crazy. Now it’s become mainstream, which means you weren’t crazy after all. The Bidens are all over that laptop. Ukraine is all over that laptop too.

And yet still no arrests. Who is protecting people like this? What are they forced to continue to do in order to keep that protection?

It’s a story inside a story inside a story that no single writer can write in one sitting. Today I will have to just start with a lie or two.

All of that said…

Media Gaslighting

In April, NBC News ran a bombshell of a report that should have infuriated every American. And perhaps it did, but as has always been the case, government and media just continued with business as usual and went about sending $40 billion more of our hard-earned money to Ukraine. In the article, government officials admit to releasing wrong information through the media to the American public. How do they justify it? Well, because they are in the middle of an information tug-of-war with Russia, of course–all you dumb American citizens we claim to serve should understand…but while you’re at it, still believe all the bullsh*t we will continue to feed you.

If you’re not insulted by this headline below (and sub-headline to boot, for that matter), then you probably were one of the 81 thousand people who voted for our current puppet in the White House.

In a break with the past, U.S. is using intel to fight an info war with Russia, even when the intel isn’t rock solid

“It doesn’t have to be solid intelligence,” one U.S. official said. “It’s more important to get out ahead of them [the Russians], Putin specifically, before they do something.”

From the NBC report:

It was an attention-grabbing assertion that made headlines around the world: U.S. officials said they had indications suggesting Russia might be preparing to use chemical agents in Ukraine.

President Joe Biden later said it publicly. But three U.S. officials told NBC News this week there is no evidence Russia has brought any chemical weapons near Ukraine. They said the U.S. released the information to deter Russia from using the banned munitions.

It’s one of a string of examples of the Biden administration’s breaking with recent precedent by deploying declassified intelligence as part of an information war against Russia. The administration has done so even when the intelligence wasn’t rock solid, officials said, to keep Russian President Vladimir Putin off balance….

Multiple U.S. officials acknowledged that the U.S. has used information as a weapon even when confidence in the accuracy of the information wasn’t high. Sometimes it has used low-confidence intelligence for deterrent effect, as with chemical agents, and other times, as an official put it, the U.S. is just “trying to get inside Putin’s head.”

Of course the NBC story included a cover-up to make it seem as though this was the strategic brilliance of Biden and government officials:

Observers of all stripes have called it a bold and so far successful strategy — although not one without risks.

“It’s the most amazing display of intelligence as an instrument of state power that I have seen or that I’ve heard of since the Cuban Missile Crisis,” said Tim Weiner, the author of a 2006 history of the CIA and 2020’s ‘The Folly and the Glory,’ a look at the U.S.-Russia rivalry over decades. “It has certainly blunted and defused the disinformation weaponry of the Kremlin.”

If I were one of the teenagers I teach, I’d say I just threw up in my mouth. They claim to be trying to trick Putin but what they are really doing is trying to trick the millions of Americans who are waking up to the lies and are fed up with the billions of dollars being sent to a country for any reason, much less a false, created one.

Bottom line: Putin didn’t budge. Putin wasn’t tricked. Russia is continuing its work in the Donbas region. As columnist Larry Johnson so aptly put it, “I am sure the United States cannot survive many more ‘successful’ intelligence operations like the ones they have backed so far.”

Johnson continued to paint a different picture of the conflict than the mainstream media gives us, even delving into the propaganda being pushed about Russia’s supposedly failing economy:

[National Security Advisor] Jake Sullivan’s confirmation that Ukraine did not defeat the Russians and force them from Kiev speaks volumes. I would remind you that Andrei Martyanov, Scott Ritter, Doug MacGregor and I analyzed the Russian tank columns positioned north of Kiev as a feint that pinned key Ukrainian forces around Kiev while the Russians carried out a strategic redeployment to the Donbas to work on destroying entrenched Ukrainian troops.

If you think the West has learned its lesson and opted to focus on truth, think again. Germany’s Economy Minister, Robert Habeck, was peddling these whoppers to his own government this week:

“Western sanctions in response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine are still taking a heavy toll on the Russian war machine. . . .The Russian economy is collapsing, . . . adding that Germany had played its part here by reducing exports to Russia in March by 60%, with an even sharper fall expected in April.

The obvious question for any reporter with the brain power of a cretin would be, “what is the evidence that Russia’s economy is collapsing?” The truth is that all sectors are firing on all cylinders. Just because Germany has decided to commit economic hari kari by declining to purchase cheap Russian oil, does not mean that Russia is bleeding out financially. The Economist reported two weeks ago that Russia is running a record trade surplus.

In some measure and on many fronts, Russia seems to be relatively self-sufficient. It is a nation proud of, well, its nation. They put Russia first over there. Sort of like a guy we know who once put America first.

Keep in mind these pretty little lies have been occurring since the very start of this crisis, which may make my tardiness in writing on it an unexpected silver lining. This isn’t something that just began. Here were a few March headlines and blurbs from some of the propagandist machines that led to the April content above. Officials and media were painting the most dire of pictures that no American should have believed, even if the information attack was against our traditional rival Russia:

From the Daily Mail, March 14: Putin’s forces may only be able to keep up the fight for another 14 days, defence sources say as increasingly-desperate invaders launch more devastating strikes on Kyiv this morning

From Forbes March 15: The U.S. Department of Defense estimated that Russia was losing about 50 vehicles per day. On March 8 they put the Russian losses at “8% to 10% of military assets.” By Sunday they put the total vehicle losses at 184 tanks and over 380 other armored vehicles (a total of 564). Saying that this is more than 8% of Russian forces suggests they believe the grand total is much less than 10,000.

From The Guardian, March 22: Russian forces have only three further days of fuel, food and ammunition left to conduct the war after a breakdown in their supply chains, Ukrainian military commanders have alleged. . . . The report from the Ukrainian armed forces general command was said to be consistent with evidence that the Russian advance had stalled, and that they had reverted to using “indiscriminate and attritional” artillery attacks on civilians.

Since the very beginning of this ongoing drama, when U.S. officials and mainstream media were on the same page blasting away at Putin and people were following the “I Stand With Ukraine” mantra as a show of solidarity, it stunk. It stunk like rotted meat left in a freezer during a hurricane.

Just look at what abomination RINO Lindsey Graham put in a tweet.

There is no Republican vs Democrat as we thought we knew it. It’s the uniparty of swamp creatures instead. How on Earth can this type of thing be okay but a “mean tweet” from Donald Trump isn’t?

We know it isn’t. But too many of us go along with it because Graham is labeled “Republican” and so we assume he must be right because we are conservative and everybody has always said Putin is a monster. Putin is the bogeyman.

It fits for us, a lot of us.

But it is a false fit. It is a trick of the mind for us to come to terms with information overload, with an onslaught of cognitive dissonance.

What To Do With Such Cognitive Dissonance

Think about it. Why would anyone, especially American patriots, trust anything Joe Biden says anyway? There are at least 74 million people in this country who voted for Donald Trump and laugh at everything Old Joe does. Revivalists know full well that the corporate media lied to them for years about the Russia collusion hoax (and still do despite the Robby Mook testimony in the Sussman trial) and about President Trump’s bogus impeachment over a phone call to newly “elected” Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy. I stop there but the lies go on and on and on. We’ve listened to it for years–to the tune of 95% negative coverage of perhaps the greatest president in U.S. history.

All of this has created a mystery for me: Why would anyone trust that same corporate media and that same swamp of a government when they speak on the Russia-Ukraine crisis? It has been a most perplexing experience to witness Americans waking up by the tens of millions, while still so many just blindly following the narrative that poor Ukraine needs our help against big bad bully Russia.

I bring up from time to time the danger of binary thinking, and this is one of those quintessential examples of how the government and media trick us. For decades we have been programmed to believe that Russia (and previously the USSR) was bad and the United States was good. This goes back to the Cold War and decades beyond. So, because we have been brainwashed into thinking that only two sides can exist in any given situation and one must be bad and one good, then it was an easy trap for many Americans to immediately direct their hatred toward Putin and Russia and side with poor ol’ Ukraine.

I STAND WITH UKRAINE.

Do we really know what we are standing with when we say that?

Think about the people out there defending Ukraine–deviant politicians, celebrities, religious leaders, and sports figures.

I doubt people who claim that little mantra or wave the flag know about the corruption in that Ukrainian government. It goes deep, and involves the worst of the worst Deep State globalists in this country and across the world–and yes, inside Ukraine itself. It involves the Biden family–Hunter and Joe both–and a certain laptop you may know about. It involves trafficking. It involves biolabs.

Do we really believe that $40 billion and more was out of the kindness of D.C. politicians’ hearts? Do we really know where that money went? What do we know about money laundering?

They confuse us because of the Russia thing. Russia bad. Help Ukraine good. We go along with it because it makes categorical sense. Just like the Lindsey Graham/Republican/Hate Russia thing. We fit it in our minds that way, but when we do that, we play right into their hands. We play right into the brainwashing of the uniparty making all of us–conservative and liberal alike–actually believe we have a choice in all of this.

This is the catastrophic danger in our country losing the ability to critically think. The binary is an absolutely deadly phenomenon.

Notice that I have not once said that Russia was the good guy here. Not once. That isn’t the point.

The point is how they trick us into thinking that somehow Ukraine is an untouched garden of Eden comprised only of innocent angels and saints.

Well, it’s not. The globalist propaganda, pushed by our very own degenerate government and corporate media, has practically trapped both Ukraine and Russia into this war, and they’re trying to trap us once again as well.

May everyone named directly or referenced indirectly ask forgiveness and do penance for their sins against America and God. I fight this information war in the spirit of justice and love for the innocent, but I have been reminded of the need for mercy and prayers for our enemies. I am a sinner in need of redemption as well after all, for my sins are many. In the words of Jesus Christ himself, Lord forgive us all, for we know not what we do.
