The Left’s Selective Depiction Of Lunacy
Much has been written about Taylor Swift lately. Her romance with Travis Kelcy has thrust her into a different spotlight and onto the radar of NFL fans, many of whom could care less about her or her career. Most probably have heard of her, but I’m sure there are many that can’t name even one of her songs.
The “cut aways” of her has annoyed some NFL fans. It seems as though every time Kelcy makes a catch, or scores a touchdown, there is now always the obligatory shot of Swift jumping up and down in a luxury box. Still, before anyone condemns football fans as being small-minded, let’s look at this thing from a big picture viewpoint.
The truth is that the football fans have started to become “Kansas City” weary. They’re a good football team and have experienced a lot of success, which is great for them and their fans, but frankly, the fans of the other thirty-one teams are tired of the Chiefs. They are maxed out in prime-time games and appear even more in the 4:00 – 4:25 time slot which many times are carried nationwide. In addition, let’s be honest, both Mahomes and Kelcy seem to be in almost every other commercial at this point.
Now Taylor Swift is involved, which is just another opportunity for Kansas City to garner even more airtime. I honestly believe that much of the aversion to Swift’s presence isn’t so much about her personally and is more about people just being sick and tired of everything being about either the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, or Travis Kelcy. Swift, so to speak, was the straw that broke the proverbial back of many football fans.
Naturally, when something like this happens there is a percentage of people that look for different angles. Some are rational, and others seem farfetched. The difference is that the left’s percentage of ridiculousness is much higher than the right’s. However, a combination of the press’s major bias to everything woke, and the left’s over the top phony projected reaction to anything conservative’s do, try to make it appear that the right is the side that is way off base.
This Taylor Swift issue is an example of the hyped up hysteria that the left is now trying to exploit. There have been a couple of conspiracy theories that have popped up, and naturally liberals are trying to attribute them exclusively to Trump supporters or as the left calls them the “Maga Crowd.”
Politico reported that claims by Fox News and far-right influencers that pop star Taylor Swift is part of a Pentagon “psychological operation” to get President Joe Biden reelected, and somehow rig the Super Bowl to benefit Kansas City Chiefs has been met with forehead slaps in the national security world.
“The absurdity of it all boggles the mind,” said one senior administration official, granted anonymity because they were not authorized to comment publicly on the matter. “It feels like one of those “tell me you are a MAGA conspiracy theorist, without telling me you are a MAGA conspiracy theorist meme.”
Some of the conspiracy theories started in December and gained traction in social media after Swift was named Time magazine’s person of year. Then last month, Fox News host Jesse Watters did a segment about the idea, playing a clip from a NATO conference that he said backed up the theory that Swift was part of a Pentagon “psy-op,” or psychological operation, for combating online information.
“It’s real. The Pentagon psy-op unit pitched NATO on turning Taylor Swift into an asset for combating misinformation online,” Watters reported.
The Pentagon responded at the time, but the rumors continued to grow on social media. The rumors contend that Swifts relationship with Kelcy, who in one of his many commercials appeared in an ad for Pfizer promoting covid and flu vaccines, is part of a plot by the NFL and Democrats for Swift to endorse Biden at the Super Bowl.
When you first hear that idea, it may seem a little farfetched, but if you let it sink in for a minute you can see where it might not be. Hollywood types are always making outrageous claims about conservatives, and they have hatched their own conspiracy theories about the right. They have an undeniable agenda and never think twice about throwing Trump, MAGA supporters, or any conservative under the bus. They also are not shy about making grandiose displays to emphasize that agenda. As far as the DOD, and this administration are concerned they have totally destroyed the public trust. To be honest, I would put nothing past this administration.
The fact that the woke radical left has seized on this and blown it out of proportion isn’t surprising. By their reasoning, they can say or do anything against conservatives, but if the right suggests that something may be taking place, or that a plan may be being hatched, it’s outrageous. Of course, they are always aided and abetted by the MSM, so anything conservatives say or do is always amplified.
These are the same people that on a daily basis, expect the American public to believe that a man can be a woman and vice versa. These are the same people that want us to believe that men can menstruate and get pregnant. These are the same people that want tampon machines in men’s rooms. These are the same people that want to mutilate children to prove their point. These are the same people that put girls and women at risk and steal their joy by allowing boys and men to play on their teams. These are the same people that are offended and even outraged if we don’t play along with their farce and use pronouns that they have dreamed up to use. These are the people that are trying to strip away parental rights so that they can brainwash and manipulate the impressionable minds of our children. These are the same people that think they are “woke” because they are willing to exploit their agenda and get away with it.
The left demonstrates their lunacy on a daily basis, and selectively try to depict conservatives as conspiracy theorists. While the entire time they are enacting their deviance in plain sight.
I have no idea if the romance between Swift and Kelcy is staged or not. Would I put it past two self-indulgent leftists to play something like this out, no I wouldn’t. With what we know about how the left operates, this really isn’t that farfetched, when you consider what they expect us to believe 365 days of the year.
