Woke Olympics Proving To Be Disastrous, Leaving Viewers Disgusted And Athletes Hungry

France is off to a very rough start as host of the Olympic games. The passing of the torch relay included three transgenders. Then, as part of the opening ceremonies, they had an LGBTQ tableau that appeared to many to mock Leonardo DaVinciโ€™s rendition of The Last Supper.

In the controversial scene, a group of around a dozen performers struck poses behind a long table. In the center was a woman wearing a headdress resembling a crown, holding her hands out in a heart shape. She was flanked by drag queens, transgender dancers, and other artists who performed alongside her. At the end of the scene, a serving tray was placed on the stage, and a scantily clad, overweight man, painted blue with sparkles and wearing flowers and a thong, emerged from inside.

The outrage was immediate and loud. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) blasted the performance in a post on X.

โ€œLast nightโ€™s mockery of the Last Supper was shocking and insulting to Christian people around the world who watched the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. The war on our faith and traditional values knows no bounds today. But we know that truth and virtue will always prevail.โ€ He then quoted John 1:5 of the Bible: โ€œThe light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.โ€

Italyโ€™s deputy prime minister, Matteo Salvini, branded it insulting and โ€œsleazy.โ€

โ€œOpening the Olympics by insulting billions of Christians across the world was a really bad start,โ€ he wrote on X.

Daniel French, the vicar of Salcombe and Marlborough, also criticized the performance.

โ€œThe opening Olympic ceremony mocked Christianity and the Last Supper in a way it never would have for any other religion.โ€

Bishop Robert Barron of Winona-Rochester, Minnesota, heavily criticized the scene. In a video post, Bishop Barron mentioned that the parody reflected a โ€œdeeply secularist postmodern societyโ€ and represented โ€œgross mockery.โ€

The ceremonyโ€™s artistic director, Thomas Jolly, stated that it was intended to celebrate diversity and honor the traditions of French gastronomy and feasting. Anne Descamps, a spokesperson for Paris 2024, addressed the criticism during an International Olympic Committee news conference on Sunday.

โ€œClearly, there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group. On the contrary, I think (with) Thomas Jolly, we really did try to celebrate community tolerance. Looking at the results of the polls that we shared, we believe that this ambition was achieved. If people have taken any offense, we are, of course, really, really sorry.โ€

Jolly explained his intentions to The Associated Press after the ceremony.

โ€œMy wish isnโ€™t to be subversive, nor to mock or to shock,โ€ Jolly said. โ€œMost of all, I wanted to send a message of love, a message of inclusion and not at all to divide.โ€

The official Olympic Games account shared photos of the moment in a post on X and referenced the Greek God Dionysus, not โ€œThe Last Supper.โ€

โ€œThe interpretation of the Greek God Dionysus makes us aware of the absurdity of violence between human beings.โ€

Jolly and Olympic officials can say what they want, but if you watch a clip of the perversion there is no denying the resemblance to The Last Supper is unmistakable. The obviously woke Olympic committee knew exactly what they were doing. They love to attack Christianity and then cry that they meant no harm. The truth is that they will do anything to push their sick and disgusting agenda, and they donโ€™t care who they offend in the process.

Speaking of agendas, the committee is now justifiably catching flack from athletes over the quality and type of food that they are being provided. The Times of London quoted one anonymous British athlete who stated:

โ€œThey are saying the Games are more sustainable and there is way more plant-based food, but sometimes, if you go at peak times, itโ€™s challenging to even get a piece of chicken.โ€

Andy Anson, chief executive of the British Olympic Association said the food โ€œis not adequate.โ€

โ€œThere are not enough of certain foods: eggs, chicken, certain carbohydrates, and then there is the quality of the food, with raw meat being served to athletes. They have got to improve it over the next couple of days dramatically,โ€ he said.

Anson added that British athletes were avoiding the main dining hall.

โ€œOur athletes have decided they would rather go and eat in our performance lodge in Clichy, so we are having to get another chef to come over as the demand is far exceeding what we thought it would be. The athletes are not going there just to eat their lunch; they are packing meals for their dinner as they donโ€™t want to go into the athlete’s restaurant to eat. So, we are trying to make sure our athletes have an advantage by having more food. It is the biggest issue at the moment.โ€

On the Games’ website, the Paris Olympics pledged to revolutionize the way food is served at the Games, with a focus on doubling the amount of plant-based food.

โ€œWhat if the Paris 2024 Games were an opportunity to discover a new way of eating in stadiums and sports events? Paris 2024 intends to use the Games as an opportunity to highlight how creative and sustainable food can be produced at a major international event, as is highlighted in its โ€˜Food Vision.’โ€

The shortage of two of the most-eaten items on the planet, grilled chicken and eggs, is due to Olympic officials promoting more plant-based food for athletes to reduce the Games’ carbon footprint. Olympic officials are trying to force premiere athletes into eating vegan meals because โ€˜carbon footprintsโ€™ are more important than providing adequate food options for those who rely on animal proteins.

The game’s website states that providing twice the amount of plant-based foods will reduce CO2 output by twofold.

From the website:

CUTTING DOWN BY 2 THE CARBON FOOTPRINT OF MEALS AND SNACKS AT THE GAMES

Paris 2024 has committed to halving the carbon footprint of the Games by implementing a Climate Strategy based on anticipating, avoiding, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. To do so, Paris 2024 has developed a new model to account for CO2 emissions in its decisions, referring to a target carbon footprint to stick to rather than a carbon assessment.

Catering services within Paris 2024โ€™s scope of responsibility quickly emerged as one of the actions where this ambition could best be achieved. By setting a target of 1 kg of CO2 per meal โ€“ i.e., half of the 2 kg carbon footprint of each meal served at previous editions of the Games or that of the average person in France โ€“ Paris 2024 wanted to implement and promote new solutions throughout the supply chain.

DOUBLING FRUIT AND VEGETABLES, HALVING COโ‚‚

Adding more plant-based ingredients to food is the most effective way of reducing the carbon footprint of catering in a significant way. By doing so at a sporting event, we can shine a spotlight on a healthier and more environmentally friendly way of eating. FOOD VISION This 1 kg CO2 limit will be calculated as an average of the 13 million meals and snacks served at sites under Paris 2024โ€™s scope of responsibility. Four decisive actions will enable us to act, listed from greatest to smallest impact:

REDUCING ANIMAL PROTEINS AND OFFERING MORE FRUIT, VEGETABLES, AND PLANT-BASED PROTEINS IN MEALS.

LIMITING FOOD WASTE.

REDUCING THE USE OF SINGLE-USE PLASTIC.

CONSUMING LOCAL AND SEASONAL PRODUCTS TO LIMIT EMISSIONS FROM TRANSPORT, FOR EXAMPLE.

โ€œThe commitments and methods of Paris 2024 are a tangible application of our vision for more sustainable Games. By setting a carbon budget for each meal that must not be exceeded, making upstream commitments with our partners and suppliers to give a second life to all equipment, and setting quantified targets, our ambition is to drive progress for the Games and create a legacy in collective and events catering.โ€

Georgina Grenon, Director of the Environmental Excellence Team at Paris 2024

The athletes are supposed to be the main story at any Olympic games. However, by pushing this woke, green farce concerning CO2 emissions, they are making trained competitors suffer. If this doesnโ€™t improve other countries will undoubtedly be forced to supply additional food and chefs as necessary.

It may be time to expand the truth about leftist ideology from โ€œGo Woke Go Broke,โ€ to โ€œGo Woke Go Broke and Go Hungry.โ€
