Biden’s Parting Gift to Trump is WW3 on America’s Doorstep

Donald Trump may have won the 2024 election primarily because of voter dissatisfaction with open borders and inflation, but the issue that presents the greatest immediate threat to America is the utter debacle in Ukraine. Now, as a parting gift to Trump, Joe Biden just brought nuclear Armageddon to America’s doorstep.

Over the past year, I have written about the Ukraine war several times, and with each new article, the warning becomes more urgent. As early as May 2024, I, and many others, warned of the dangers of escalation when bumbling Biden authorized the use of American-made weapons inside Russia’s borders.

Now, those fears have materialized, and we’re teetering on the brink.

In a move that can only be described as vindictive and spiteful, rapidly diminishing Joe Biden recently authorized the use of long-range missiles inside Russian territory. Desperate Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy didn’t wait to use his new authority and launched six US-made ATACMS missiles that landed in Russia’s Bryansk region.

Apparently, giving Zelenskyy permission to attack deep inside Russia was in response to the deployment of North Korean troops into Russia’s Kursk region, which is currently occupied by Ukraine.

In retaliation, President Vladimir Putin announced he is updating Russia’s nuclear doctrine to include first strike  attacks in response to acts of aggression inside Russia from any non-nuclear state supported by a nuclear power, which is a thinly disguised threat to the U.S. and NATO.

See how escalation works in the real world? Leftist neocons must be thrilled.

Ukraine is Destined to Lose the War

All of this comes against a backdrop of the slow, steady decline of Ukraine’s failing war machine. In addition to running out of soldiers to fight, Ukraine continues to lose territory. In 2024, Russia advanced another 984 square miles, took the strategic town of Avdiivka and advanced in Kalynivka, Toretsk, Kurakhove, Berestky, Chasiv Yar, Pohrebky, Yuriyivka, and Rozdolne. In total, Russia controls about one fifth of Ukraine, an area nearly the size of Alabama.

Worse, 11,743 Ukraine civilians have been killed and 24,614 wounded since the war began. Among the casualties are 589 children. Although the number of soldiers who died is difficult to calculate, Zelenskyy has admitted to 31,000 dead with no estimate for wounded or missing. It is estimated that it would cost $152 billion to rebuild Ukraine as of December 2023.

A War That Should Have Never Happened

The origins of the Ukraine war began in 1990 and 1991 during the fall of the Berlin wall. At that time, Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev received numerous assurances that NATO would not expand eastward if the eastern block countries were freed from USSR control. These pledges were typified in statements from numerous U.S. officials with standing, including Secretary of State James Baker, who said, “not one inch eastward” when asked about NATO’s expansion plans.

They all lied.

The opportunity to expand NATO was too tempting, and there was too much money to be made as every new NATO country is obligated to purchase military equipment that meets the alliance’s standards. In order to sell the expansion, it was necessary to provoke Russia and re-cast it as a villain. Otherwise, why would NATO even need to exist?

In fact, 16 countries have joined NATO since the fall of the Berlin Wall, and a map of Eastern Europe shows Russia entirely surrounded by hostile NATO countries on its western flank.

This is exactly what you get when U.S. leadership on a global scale is so lacking and untrustworthy. Those who America has cast as enemies feel threatened. Time and again, opportunities presented themselves in a way that could have prevented the Ukraine catastrophe. Incredibly, throughout Putin’s earlier reign, he made significant overtures toward the U.S., including asking Bill Clinton if Russia could join NATO.

Let’s remember that the direct cause of the war stemmed from Barack Obama’s Assistant Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland, who successfully engineered a coup in Ukraine that deposed the duly elected president, Viktor Yanukovych, in favor of the pro-west Zelenskyy. The hostile nature of the Zelenskyy regime toward Russia essentially cut off Putin’s access to any warm water ports. To further threaten and isolate Russia after the coup, the U.S. provided at least $3 billion in advanced weaponry to Ukraine during the period between the start of Zelenskyy’s regime until Russia’s invasion.

To drive Putin further into a corner, NATO moved offensive weapons into Eastern Europe, specifically Poland and Romania, including MK41 missile launchers capable of firing Tomahawk cruise missiles deep into Russia’s interior.

Even with all the provocation, in a last-ditch effort to avoid the war, Putin negotiated the Minsk accords, which Zelenskyy was prepared to sign. Yet, at the last moment, former UK Prime Minister Borris Johnson intervened, and the negotiations ended abruptly.

A Path to Peace Became Infinitely More Difficult

In his final middle finger to the country that spurned him, Joe Biden has just handed Donald Trump a huge bag of Ukrainian dog shit. Zelenskyy now has missiles that can reach Moscow and permission to use them. As a drowning man looking for anyone he can push under to save himself, Zelenskyy will do anything to draw NATO into a direct shooting war with Russia. From Zelenskyy’s point of view, every Russian cruise missile that is launched toward London is one less missile that can be fired at Kiev.

In light of all the damage Slow Joe is doing to the prospects of a negotiated settlement in Ukraine, if Donald Trump can pull this off and bring an end to the war before the nukes are launched, he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize he should have received for the Abraham Accords.

In the meantime, thanks for the parting shot, Joe, and here’s the one-finger salute back at ya.
