The Hole Hollywood Keeps Digging Has Hit A Disgusting Rock Bottom

Hollywood is not even a sad shell of what it used to be. It has become the playground for radicals who believe their opinions are more valuable than those of other Americans. They try to insert their influence on and off the screen and, by doing so, have decimated the film industry and their reputations. Movies are now filled with woke ideologies that the general public finds offensive, and the actors and actresses involved try to justify the sickness by vocalizing the same perversions offscreen.

Each year, members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) vote for the Academy Awards. The most prestigious categories are Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. These are known as the “Big Five” awards, and only three films have won all five. The films are It Happened One Night (1934), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975), and The Silence of the Lambs (1991). 

Yesterday, the 2025 Academy Award nominees were released, and the AMPAS has permanently tarnished the industry and diminished the stature of the awards, not to mention pissing off every biological woman in the country.

While the rest of America has clearly indicated that they have had enough of this woke nonsense, the fools in Tinsel Town continue to shoot themselves in the foot. Disregarding the most fundamental aspect of common sense, the AMPAS had the unmitigated gall to nominate a man pretending to be a woman for the Best Actress award.

That’s right, America, these narcissistic morons nominated Karla Sofia Gascón, who is a man, for the best actress award. Gascon’s role was in the Spanish-language musical “Emilia Pérez,” which NPR described as “the world’s first Mexican cartel musical focusing on a trans woman.”

The film tells the story of a fictional former leader of a Mexican drug cartel who fakes his own death in order to undergo gender-affirming surgery. Director Jacques Audiard initially considered casting both a male and a female actor for the role before ultimately deciding on a 52-year-old actor.

Gascon told NPR:

“This just simply would not have been the same if you had had two different actors, an actor and an actress, a trans actor with a cis actress or cis actor. This was an opportunity, and I pushed for it because this was something that had never been done … and this was perfectly constructed.”

Gascón was honored with the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival, where the film received an 11-minute standing ovation from the woke crowd.

This is the most recent example of Hollywood giving American citizens the middle finger. They are tone-deaf when it comes to what America wants, and they have been paying the price for their deliberate ignorance. People watch movies to be entertained, not lectured, but the flow of insanity flowing out of the town with a sign on the hill has not stopped.

Some things should never happen. One of those things is nominating a man for a woman’s award and vice versa. This is outrageous, and the academy needs to learn a big-time lesson for the disrespectful manner in which it is treating real women.

I haven’t watched the awards show in decades, and I suggest you do the same. A woman missed out on being able to say she was nominated for an Academy Award because one nomination went to a man.

I guess having one of the top five awards each for a man and a woman wasn’t “inclusive” enough for the academy. However, excluding a female nominee for the woman’s award and nominating a man is acceptable.

You can’t make up this level of insanity, and as a country, we damn sure can’t settle for it.
