Nashville ‘News’ Station Cares More About ‘Pride’ Than Patriotism

Here’s a few unflattering things to know about the Nashville-based WSMV, which made headlines last week after giving the shaft to two patriotic Country Music artists.

WSMV is notorious for shedding itself of its on-air news personalities, once they reach a certain age, regardless of how capable or talented they are.

Also, every June, WSMV pushes Pride Month. So much so it provides wall-to-wall coverage of it and even requires that on-air news personalities participate in the local Pride parade.

This is a station that, on the surface, doesn’t seem to want to play it safe when it comes to engaging in politics or making controversial decisions.

Well, last week, WSMV got blasted on X by, of all people, Country Music singer John Rich, who alerted us to how the station treated a pair of singers called The Duggar Band.

Rich posted on X that the Duggar Band was scheduled to appear on WSMV, Nashville’s NBC affiliate, to sing the pro-America song “True Colors.”

Rich said he produced this record.

But once the WSMV staff heard the song, they had a change of heart and said they weren’t allowed to sing it on their airwaves.

The reason? The song was “politically biased.”

Here are the lyrics:

I see you looking down while I′m looking up

You’re just sitting there sipping on that Starbucks cup

Hating on everything not doing anything

I crank up some Toby Keith Climb, back in my truck

And it don′t matter where the chips may fall

That Statue of Liberty will be standing tall

The best part about the land of the free

Is if you don’t like it you’re free to leave

But I ain′t leaving here

I′m an 8th generation God fearing blue collar With the flag waving

And I don’t wait for the 4th of July It′s year round life long American Pride

And right here right now

I’m drawing the line If this country ain′t something you can stand behind

Then that’s the difference ′tween me and you

Cause my true colors are Red white and blue

Yeah my pappy served in that Second World War

I ain’t ever giving up all that he fought for

And if you’re coming here aiming to take what we got

We gonna fight, fight, fight go on and take your shot

But I ain′t leaving here I′m an 8th generation

God fearing blue collar

With the flag waving

And I don’t wait for the 4th of July

It′s year round life long American Pride

And right here right now I’m drawing the line

If this country ain′t something you can stand behind

Then that’s the difference ′tween me and you

Cause my true colors are Red white and blue Red white and blue Red white and blue God bless the U. S. of A

I ain’t leaving here

I’m an 8th generation God fearing blue collar

With the flag waving

And I don′t wait for the 4th of July It′s year round life long American Pride Right here right now

I’m drawing the line

If this country ain′t something you can stand behind

Then that’s the difference ′tween me and you

Cause my true colors are Red white and blue Red white and blue Red white and blue Red white and blue

Country Music caters to Red State-America, but Nashville is recognized as the place where most of Country Music originates. While Tennessee is mostly hard-right politically, Nashville, unfortunately, is hard-left. The corporate suits on Music Row have gone full-blown woke. Just watch the CMT Awards, where drag queens and beta cucks reign supreme. The industry also frowns on Jason Aldean and his song “Try That In A Small Town,” which he directed at militant left-wing activists.

Nashville’s legacy media drifts hard left. And that’s why, as far as they are concerned, Pride Month is in, but American patriotism is out.

According to its website, WSMV is owned by the Atlanta, Ga.-based Gray Media, who, no doubt, gave the order to disinvite The Duggar Band. Staff at the corporate office probably call the shots at all of their other TV stations, which are scattered around the country.

If you would like to know if a Gray Media TV station exists in your local market then click here. And remember who and what these people are. And don’t expect their values to correspond with yours’.
