Republicans Should Not Hold Hearings on the Democrats Fake Concerns About the Signal App

The biggest difference between the Trump administration right now and when the President was in office in his first term is what he learned from those 4 years. President Trump was successful on a range of issues during first four years in office. He secured the border, helped keep the world safe, and his tax reform led to a very strong economy. Still, Trump had never been President, and he was not familiar with how nasty Washington can be, he underestimated the pathetic lengths the Democrats would go to undermine him and his policies.

The left has relentlessly targeted Trump from the beginning, with FBI agents zoning in on General Flynn in 2016 during his transition period, and the Russian hoax investigation starting almost immediately after the election nearly 9 years ago. The failing new media push absurd conspiracy theories and fake narratives at the start as well. This is why Republicans should not hold congressional hearings into the minor and insignificant issues with the signal app surrounding the communication by Defense Secretary Hegseth and other top defense officials over the successful raid against the Houthis in Yemen earlier this week. While obviously there should be an internal review of the security of the signal app, The Pentagon and inspector generals should conduct that probe, there is no reason for congressional hearings that will just be politicized anyway.

The Democrats have spent nearly a decade now pushing fake narratives and relentlessly attacking Trump and his MAGA movement. The left has even gone after politicians such as Senator Fetterman from Pennsylvania for simply being willing to praise and sit down with the President. The Democrats have no intention of working with Trump or being fair to the President, the left just wants to score political points and continue to push lies, such as the claim that there is a crisis of leadership or questions about Hegseth’s ability to run the Pentagon. Both of these absurd claims are patently false. The real stories right now are the wide-ranging ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia that was brokered by the White House, the release of more hostages by Hamas, and the successful raids on violent gangs such as MS-13 in the United States. Republicans should not let the let try to control the news cycle with fake and made-up stories.

The Biden administration never held a single hearing on the failed US withdrawal from Afghanistan, which was one of the most disgraceful events in American history. While Trump should obviously not sink to the levels of the pathetic past regime, Republicans must recognize that the overwhelming majority of Democrats still have no intention of working with Trump, hearings will just be used as political show to push the usual fake and absurd narratives. The President learned a lot from his first term and previous elections, he didn’t do interviews with 60 Minutes or other corrupt media outlets leading up to the 2024 election, and Trump has also made sure that people who support his MAGA agenda are the ones in charge, not people like disgraceful former FBI Director Wray. The President has learned a lot from his time in Washington, House and Senate Republicans should heed those lessons as well.
