Thoughts From Europe On An Impending Cease-Fire
Globalist “Democracy” is less than enthralled at the idea of a Trump-negotiated cessation of hostilities in Ukraine. Why?
We must fight World War III for a dictator who banned 11 political parties and suspended elections. Only by supplying arms and sending money that none of our voters have agreed to, or escalating to a war that nobody has been given a choice about, for a country that follows no democratic principles at all, are we supporting Democracy.
Canada wanted rid of its globalist Liberal Prime Minister. So now itโs got a globalist Liberal Prime Minister that nobody voted for instead, who has never held elected office before and who wonโt say when or whether there will be an election. Canadaโs unpopular and unelected leader wants to fight a trade war with the US using emergency powers, and that wonโt go to a vote of any kind.
Romania wanted a nationalist leader with a more neutral attitude to Russia. So it got an election suspended and that most popular candidate barred from standing again. Romanians donโt know when they will be allowed to vote again and which votes will just be ignored anyway.
Britain has a leader elected on 19% of the vote, far lower even than many failed former candidates. Heโs already mass imprisoned political opponents, clearing the jail cells of actual criminals first to do so. That leader wants war with Russia and certainly isnโt taking that to a vote.
France has a President with a historically low approval rating and a Prime Minister whose party lost the last election. For years unpopular parties have been in a cartel alliance keeping out a party more popular than they are. And France too wants to go to war with Russia, with a bit of a hint that they wouldnโt mind going to war with the US as well.
Germany has an alliance of old parties that refuse to work with the only party offering the majority of voters an alternative that they want. These parties again act as a cartel working together to keep a more popular party out. But they are worried that this isnโt working sufficiently so they are working on banning the more popular party. Germany has seen the mass imprisonments and censorship and thought policing in Britain and is worried that it is being left behind. As a consequence, Germany has banned anything that anyone finds offensive, and has cemented a traditional view of German character traits by effectively outlawing humour. Under current German law, criticising the government or distrusting the government can qualify as a hate crime with a prison sentence.
Because thatโs how you defend Democracy and prevent the rise of totalitarian fascism.
The ironic self contradiction in all this is not apparent to Globalists anywhere.
