The White House Correspondent’s Dinner Again Shows Why the Legacy Media is Failing
There is seldom a day that the pathetic and declining leftist press doesn’t lie or gaslight about Trump and his MAGA movement. From the Russian hoax to the absurd and incorrect discussion around the President’s comment at Charleston or at Normandy, the corrupt media knowingly has put out misinformation about Trump for nearly 10 years since the 47th President declared he was running for office. Most elites on the left who run the failing press have no respect for the public, and these individuals had no interest in telling the country the truth about Trump so the citizens could make their own decisions about his leadership.
This is why the recent comments by Axios reporter Alex Thompson at the White House Correspondents Dinner over the weekend that the media missed Biden’s cognitive decline completely missed the point. The issue wasn’t that the corrupt press failed to notice the former President being senile, the problem was that the media stopped reporting the news and reporting the truth.
When Biden was President his administration opened the border, engaged in censorship, and prosecuted Trump and his supporters. The press made a decision to become state media when Biden was in office, these corrupt reporters’ issue wasn’t that they didn’t see stories, the problem was they stopped looking for or reporting real news because these left-wing radicals pretending to be journalists were determined to defeat Trump. In a true Orwellian sense, the media became the threat these individuals claimed Trump was to the Democracy, the press became state media.
There are many examples of how the corrupt media establishment simply became an arm of the left and the failing Democratic Party. CBS edited Harris’s horrendous response to a basic question about the Middle East, George Stephanopolous completely made-up facts when he falsely claimed Trump was found liable of rape, and publicly funded National Public Radio completely ignored that Hunter Biden laptop story. The failing legacy media also falsely reported on fabricated stories alleging nonexistent links between Trump and Russia for over 2 years in addition to continually lying and gaslighting about MAGA on many other issues.. The press became an arm of the state, the media decided that the job of these left-wing activists was to defeat the current President and his movement, not report or even discuss the truth.
There is an old saying that in a war the first casualty is the truth. When the left declared war on Trump and his supporters, these individuals became part of the resistance against MAGA, the so-called reporters were no longer concerned with real news, truth, or informing the citizens to make choices of their own.
The real issue wasn’t just that the press missed a story a 2-year-old could see, Biden was in significant cognitive decline, the problem was that the media no longer was functioning independently of the political system the country has traditionally relied upon these individuals to cover. When the press traded in their already weak credentials to simply try to defeat Trump, the corrupt legacy media showed what conservatives have known for a long time, these left-wing activists never had any real interest in the truth to begin with.
When the President refers to the so-called media as the enemy of the people, he is not referring to journalists or the press. The legacy media at this point that Trump is talking about is an institution of the left, and nothing more than that.
