Loudoun County, Virginia Public Schools Does Yet Another Stupid, Atrocious Thing

I have long argued that liberals’ biggest shortcoming is an inability — or a refusal — to understand basic human nature.

This is true whether it concerns how to manage economics, the criminal justice system, rewards and incentives, national defense, the use of taxpayer money or, last, but not least, human sexuality.

The point was especially made last week in, of all places, the Loudoun County Public School System in Virginia, whose school board members are notorious for having the moral compasses of an Amsterdam city planner.

Consider the latest development, as reported by the Washington, D.C.-based Fox 5, concerning a Title IX investigation into three high school students.

A school system guideline developed four years ago “permits students to use restrooms and locker rooms that align with their gender identity rather than their biological sex.”

Sensible-minded parents, of course, want the policy repealed.

Now, three male students “are accused of sexually harassing a transgender student,” a female who identifies as a male, in the boys’ locker room.

“The transgender student recorded video as they entered the locker room, it showed a black screen at first while capturing audio of classmates questioning why ‘a girl’ was present and one student expressing that he felt ‘uncomfortable,’” the station reported.

“The student filming then positioned the phone where the camera could see some of the students in the locker room. While it is illegal to record inside locker rooms, a Loudoun County Public Schools official confirmed that no individuals appeared in compromising positions in the video. As a result, it was determined that no privacy laws were violated.”

Parents, as you might understand, are pissed.

As Fox 5 went on to say, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin wants the state attorney general to investigate how the school system managed the situation. The families of the accused students have retained legal counsel.

Chalk this up to yet another situation that common sense and an understanding of basic human nature could have prevented.
