The Reasons Democratic Mayors are Quietly Beginning to Cooperate with Trump on Immigration
The left likes narratives, not the truth. Political talking points often sound decent when packaged with supposed facts that are usually either false or exaggerated, and not contested, but these incorrect claims usually fold quickly under the slightest amount of scrutiny. One of the biggest lies told repeatedly about Trump and the MAGA by Democrats and their left-wing allies in the media is that this conservative movement is xenophobic or anti-immigrant. Nothing could be further from the truth. The President has repeatedly said that he supports and even wants to increase legal immigration, Trump’s opposition to the illegal immigrants the left has tried to use to manipulate the political system and gain an advantage in the electoral college.
The first Democratic mayor to speak out against the failed Biden regime’s open border policy was New York Democrat Eric Adams. The former police officer who rose from poverty to run one of the largest cities in America saw his city overrun by illegal immigrants. Adams stated multiple times that New York City was being forced to spend billions on illegal immigrants, and those important resources were coming out of critical services in areas such as law enforcement, health care, and education. The long-time Democrat also voiced concern about the growing crime problem in his city as well, and the Biden regime responded quickly, using the weaponized Justice Department to target the moderate Democrat. Adams was the first Democratic mayor to begin to cooperate with the President on deporting illegals and making sure America is once again a country of laws, but he is not the last.
The latest Democratic mayor to begin to cooperate with Trump on deporting illegal immigrants is former fierce rival Muriel Bowser of Washington D.C. Bowser was one of the President’s most outspoken critics in his first term, even refusing to provide local police to supplement Secret Service during a protest near the White House at times, but the longtime Democrat now clearly supports the President’s domestic agenda and has even appeared at press conferences with Trump. Bowser has tried to pivot to the middle since Trump was elected, she now talks about bringing more business to DC, getting crime under control, and deporting many of the people in her city who are there illegally.
The Democrats have taken two very different approaches to dealing with Trump since he came into office. While some on the left such as Senator Fetterman and Governor Whitmer have been willing to work with Trump, other individuals such as congenital liar Adam Schiff and pathetic Governor Pritzker of Illinois have talked about intensifying what the individuals call the resistance to the 47th President. The reality for the Democrats is that elections have consequences, and Trump won with a clear mandate for his agenda, which includes mass deportations of the millions of people who were brought in illegally by the failed and corrupt Biden regime. The idea that enforcing the law is anti-immigrant or xenophobic is patently absurd, and these baseless claims imply every government in the world fits these nonsensical pejoratives.
President Trump recognized from the beginning that the entire strategy of the left was to open the border and bring massive numbers of illegal immigrants into the US to try to manipulate the political process by gaining and advantage in the electoral college. The Democrats called Trump xenophobic when he stopped travel with China during the pandemic, and the left will continue to attack the President as he enforces the law and deports illegal immigrants this time as well. The reality, as usual, is the opposite. The MAGA movement is not and has never been anti-immigrant, and the real liars who claimed the Federal Government didn’t have the resources to secure the border have now been exposed today, the illegals crossing at historically low levels.
