Pantone’s “Cloud Dancer” Labeled Racist By The Left
This is the time of year when you start to see a lot of “best of lists” for the year that’s ending, and also predictions for the upcoming year. I get emails about everything from upcoming restaurant trends and condiment flavors to clothing styles and baby names. I also get emails about color choices, ranging from bedroom and kitchen colors to KitchenAid appliance colors.
For me, these are things that are interesting to browse, but I can’t say the choices ever really influenced me or my better half one way or the other. If we’re painting or buying a new appliance, we still choose colors we like, not ones some marketing firm decided were the best.
That said, Pantone is a huge influencer. Pantone is a color identification system and catalog designed to ensure consistency and accuracy of color across various mediums for designers, manufacturers, and consumers. Each color is assigned a unique code, helping to streamline the manufacturing process.
For instance, if you see a Pantone color swatch that you like and want to use it in a garment, you can find the corresponding Pantone code—typically TCX—and share it with your manufacturer. This precise code lets them know exactly what color you want, leading to far better results than simply providing a random swatch without a color code. Brands must maintain their signature colors, such as Coca-Cola Red and Tiffany Blue, to ensure designers and manufacturers communicate color needs accurately, preventing any misinterpretation.
Like many companies, Pantone also offers a “color of the year” recommendation for clothing and furniture manufacturers, among others. This year, they named the color for 2026 “Cloud Dancer,” which, for lack of a better description, is an off-white color.
No big deal, right? Well, if you’re a small-minded Democrat or a leftist zombie, even though Pantone’s color is off-white, all the left can see is red.
On Instagram, one comment claimed that this color choice:
“unintentionally aligns with cultural and political symbolism that many of us find deeply troubling.”
“Deeply troubling?” This group of malcontents, who are wandering around in Darwin’s waiting room, are perpetually offended by everything. Where were these snowflakes last year when Pantone’s color of the year was Mocha Mouse?

I didn’t see any conservatives tearing at their clothes or gnashing their teeth. The truth is simple: if Democrats and the left are on a never-ending b*tch fest. If you are offended by a company choosing off-white as its color of the year, get out a mirror and take a good, hard look at a real racist.
In January of this year, Sky Kelly, who is black, became president of Pantone. She is known as a seasoned leader in digital innovation, AI, and customer experience, with brands such as Nike, Disney, and ESPN. She’s been actively involved in recent Pantone initiatives, including the launches of the 2026 Color of the Year, Cloud Dancer, noted by sources in late 2025.
None of this should matter, and yet, as the U.K. Daily Mail reported, the insignificance didn’t stop haters from hating. Interior designer Anthony Bruno posted on TikTok that while Cloud Dancer is ‘chic,’ he questioned whether a single person of color was present, calling the decision “tone-deaf.”
Mathew Boudreaux, the delusional owner of Mx Domestic Fabric Shop, thinks that the color choice is “hard to separate from the broader cultural context we’re living in.”
Boudreaux is the name of the person known as Mx Domestic, an influential figure in the world of crafts and sewing. They use the pronoun “elle” (they/them). He is described on Facebook as a craftsperson and designer.
Boudreaux is a multifaceted individual who explores various craft disciplines, with a passion for color and original designs. His work includes sewing, quilting, knitting, and other techniques.
He is an active voice in advocating for marginalized groups within the creative world. He uses his platform to promote inclusion, anti-racism, and LGBTQIA+ rights.
He founded and runs the online store and online sewing school Mx Domestic.
Using that as context, this is what Boudreaux posted on Instagram:

The left would love for everyone to believe that they’re more sensitive and in tune with the subtleties of society. However, losing touch with reality does not make a person more in tune with anything other than insanity.
Pantone chose a color for 2026 the same way they have since 1999. Their website states:
“We wanted to highlight to our audience how what is taking place in our global culture is expressed and reflected through the language of color.”
Over the last decade (2015-2025), Pantone’s Colors of the Year have ranged from the tranquil blues and greens of Serenity & Rose Quartz (2016) and Greenery (2017) to vibrant hues like Ultra Violet (2018), Living Coral (2019), and Classic Blue (2020), then the duality of Illuminating & Ultimate Gray (2021), Very Peri (2022), Viva Magenta (2023), and the soft Peach Fuzz (2024), and Mocha Mousse (2025)—colors reflecting shifts in global moods and cultural desires for connection, calm, and energy.
“Cloud Dancer” creates serene, tranquil, and restful environments, especially in bedrooms and living areas, because its neutral, gentle tones provide a fresh, clean backdrop that’s less stark than pure white and pairs beautifully with natural elements for a harmonious feel.
Despite what the left preaches, not everything is nefarious, and not everything associated with things that are white is negative. Maybe if they could see past their delusions and hatred, their outlook would change.
