Liberals Now Have The Super Bowl In Their Woke Crosshairs
There is nothing that those on the left can’t ruin. They are the most divisive group in American history. They are not that difficult to read; they have become more like a cult than a political party, espousing nonsensical ideologies that are like something from the Twilight Zone.
This year, the Super Bowl is in Santa Clara, essentially on the radical left’s turf, so we knew that something that used to represent Americana was going to be tarnished even more so than usual.
The NFL got the ball rolling by naming the bizarre “Bad Bunny” as the halftime show. This is a “performer” who refused to appear in the United States because he supposedly feared for his fans’ being removed by ICE. He does a lot of his show in Spanish and often dresses in drag and other bizarre outfits. He has already announced that he is having a dress made for at least a portion of this halftime clown show.
It isn’t bad enough that the NFL continues to virtue signal by painting liberal messages in the endzones of NFL stadiums and putting sayings like “choose love” on the back of players’ helmets; they had to push their woke envelope further down the fans’ throats with this halftime disgrace.
That said, the freak show isn’t confined to just inside Levi’s Stadium. Yesterday, the radical sheriff of Santa Clara County, Bob Jonsen, did some grandstanding of his own at a public news conference where he declared that he intends to break federal law by not working to support ICE agents in any immigration enforcement operations.
As you read what Jonsen said, notice the verbal sleight of hand. He first calls ICE agents “our federal partners,” then adds that he wants them to be transparent, no doubt so he can sell them out. He then talks out of both sides of his mouth, saying he has no intention of working with them.
“So, I urge our federal partners, if there’s something that you’re planning to do in our community, please, please be transparent and reach out to your local officials so we can work as best we can.”
“It was mentioned that we are not going to change our policies or protocols. We will not be working or supporting ICE Immigration Enforcement, but I want you, again, remember, if you see us out there, we’re there to help you and we will be there. Don’t hesitate to contact someone wearing a uniform as these events unfold if they’re walking around trying to engage and make sure you remain safe.”
“We are going to be here for you, side-by-side. So, as you’re getting off those trains, you’re getting off those buses, yeah, high probability you’re going to see somebody in uniform. But if they’re not masked, if they’re wearing tan and green or blue and black, trust me, they’re there for your protection. They’re there for your protection.”
“If they’re masked and they’re trying to hide their identity, then somebody hasn’t communicated with us because we’ve made it very clear to our officers, our workforce is to be open and transparent and engaged in this community for the next few weeks, and that is also our goal each and every day. We’ve spent decades building this community, building that trust. I’ve had conversations with many … over the past year, trying to give you as much information as we can about what we know is gonna happen and when it’s gonna happen and if it’s gonna happen, but without that communication, we can’t.”
In response, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin Yoho told TMZ that agents will conduct enforcement operations.
“DHS is committed to working with our local and federal partners to ensure the Super Bowl is safe for everyone involved, as we do with every major sporting event, including the World Cup. Our mission remains unchanged.”
In October, DHS adviser Corey Lewandowski reminded everyone that enforcement is a “directive from the president,” and will not be paused for the Super Bowl.
On The Benny Show podcast, he stated:
“There is nowhere you can provide a safe haven to people who are in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find and deport you. That is a very real situation.”
Jonsen’s tirade is another example of a liberal official setting the stage for confrontations and violence. This type of defiant rhetoric inflates the egos of these maniacal protestors who are being egged on to break federal law. The left then tries to stand back and blame ICE officials, when it was their stoking of the fire which leads to these street wars.
I have said it before, and I will say it again right here. If there are any confrontations, in lieu of Jonsen’s despicable anti-American rhetoric, he needs to be arrested along with any violent protestors. He lit the fuse, and if the bomb explodes, he needs to be held accountable.
