Republicans Need to Make Zohran Kwame Mamdani the Face of the Democratic Party Going into the Midterms
There was no truer statement in the 2020 Presidential election than when now President Trump stated that Biden would just be a Trojan horse for the far left. From 2020 to 2024, the senile and corrupt Democratic leader of this country opened the border, destabilized the Middle East by not enforcing the sanctions against Iran, spent trillions on wasteful clean energy projects, weaponized the Justice Department, and created massive inflation with absurd policies such as the student loan bailouts. The 47th President’s first year in office has mostly been spent cleaning up the mess Biden left him, and with the exception of the big and beautiful bill, Trump has been more focused on conflicts in the Middle East and between Russia and Ukraine, because of the many failures of the previous regime.
The only reason the Democrats did well in recent smaller elections is, as the exit polls showed, because of messaging. The number 1 issue for the public is affordability, and the failed policies of Biden and the left made housing and even basic goods such as groceries unaffordable for many American families. Credit card debt levels reached record highs under Biden of nearly $1.21 trillion. Trump has already taken multiple substantive actions to bring costs down, such as making the tax cut permanent and also putting added tax incentives in for oil and gas drilling. The President will soon be able to replace pathetic Fed Chair Jerome Powell with his own pick, and that new head of the Central Bank should be more willing to lower interest rates as well, since inflation rates have remained low since Trump came into office.
The obvious reality is that inflation spiraled out of control under Biden, who, along with failed Fed Chair Powell, repeatedly stated that rising prices were transitory and not something to be overly concerned with. The fact is also that while Democrats did well in mostly statewide and small-time elections by emphasizing affordability, the left has zero answers as to how to bring down prices in America. The Democrats are not willing to cut wasteful spending, and the far left’s supposed new economic ideas are just stale socialist and communist policies that have done nothing but fail for decades around the world.
This is why the election of Zohran Kwame Mamdani is so important. Mamdani ran as a self-styled Democratic Socialist, but his comments and policies showed he is, in reality, a communist. The far-left leader supports the government opening grocery stores and building massive amounts of affordable housing, both absurd policies that would fail in New York for the same reasons these left-wing proposals have not worked anywhere else over the last century. If the government built massive amounts of affordable housing in New York City, this action would cause the luxury real estate market to collapse, and the wealthier tax base of New York would simply leave the Big Apple. Likewise, the government opening grocery businesses and selling food at low prices since the taxpayer-funded institutions obviously don’t need to make a profit would just bankrupt small businesses and limit the choices New Yorkers have, likely causing prices to rise in the long term.
Zohran Kwame Mamdani represents the direction the Democratic Party has been headed in for over a decade now, and the fact that both he and the Democrats have zero ideas to actually make life more affordable to average Americans shows what a farce the left’s emphasis on affordability really is. Mamdani has also made controversial statements on many other issues, including illegal immigration, which has cost New York City billions because of Biden’s failed open border policies. The radical left controls today’s failing Democratic party, and Mamdani, along with fellow New Yorker AOC is the face of this far-left movement that has nothing to offer the country. Republicans need to make that fact clear as the midterms fast approach.
